Stayed just one night at Lamana when my local accomm lost power. At short notice we were able to book a basic room, just a double bed with TV, bar fridge, tea, coffee, kettle, air con (most important), spacious bathroom with hot shower, very small closet. In Moresby all the basics are much appreciated and never taken for granted. The... More

I stayed for 3 nights on a business trip and was apparently in an "Executive suite". It looks much like the Queen Deluxe advertised on their website. The room had everything necessary for a comfortable stay including a very fancy coffee machine with a selection of coffee pellets. I thought it was broken as it was plugged in but nothing... More

This is my third stay at the Lamana. My previous reviews have been complimentary, however this time i spent six days therr and never once had even a warm shower or shave. I sad given all sorts of weak excuses, but things didn't improve. Not a manager or responsible persom in sight. This is not what we paid for and... More

I travelled to Port Moresby in May 2014 for business for the first time and this was my first stay at Lamana. Overall the room was average at best for the price. There was not much closet space. Bed was comfortable and aircon worked well. Internet was expensive but worked every time I needed it. The food on offer at... More

I have stayed at the Lamana Hotel many times while travelling for business in Port Moresby. Its one of the nicer places in Moresby and is walking distance to a major supermarket, mall, and cinema. The rooms are nice with a double bed and a nice size bathroom. The beds are comfortable and you get a decent night sleep. The... More

Stayed here for a week running a workshop for work so needing a good night's sleep. The local staff are great - efficient, helpful and friendly. HOWEVER On Wednesday night it was the State of Origin, so very noisy at the night club which was right next to my room. That was loud but manageable. Thursday was just ABYSMAL. The... More

The hotel is located rather oddly but is secure and has good service with plenty of amenities. The rooms are about average for their price. The internet connectivity is frightfully expensive and poor. The food is over priced but good and if you are on a business trip with a particular package the food is poor. And if you believe... More

No free WiFi in rooms (K50 for 150Mb) and the free WiFi at the restaurant is only available before noon on weekdays! Otherwise the restaurant is okay, and the club is a main venue for local events, which makes it a cool place to meet people and have a taste of local life.

I had stayed here several times. Rooms are good. There is a club which is very happening place during the weekends. So better take rooms farthest away from the club, if you are staying during the weekends. Also the campus is very secure. There is a Gymnasium. There is a restaurant in the campus which provides Indian food. One of... More

Well I have to say, compared to the surrounding Port Moresby, this place is quite nice. The courtesy van is reliable and driven well, the rooms are relatively small, but comfortable and quiet and the restaurant is really quite nice. As is with the rest of the world, it is the people that make the difference and the Lamana is... More
