I stayed here for a few months on business and although very expensive it is a safe, clean and comfortable hotel to stay in. The Bacchus Restaurant serves amazing food and is a special treat, the gym and spa are well equipped and private pool for putting in a few laps in the heat, staff are very helpful and attended... Hello Conjolaround Thank you for choosing to stay with Airways and also for your valuable comments. I am pleased to hear that you got to try all our facilities and service. Thank you for pointing out some of the things that you found not so good. I just like to mention this that the hot water is NOT only heated... More

We originally dismissed this hotel as an option as we had no intention of paying A$500 for one night in a Port Moresby hotel. However after missing our plane - in part to the Grand Papua we also had no intention of returning there! The air Nuigini counter booked us in to Airways for what we thought was 400kina -... More

Hello Loretta g Thank you for your comments. I am sorry to hear that there was some misunderstanding about your rate from the Airline you were traveling with. The amount that you mentioned does not seem right as all our rates are in PKG and our business rates for the Airline is never USD 400. I am pleased that you... More

Now I know why this hotel got only 4 star even though the hotel was so amazing and staff and crew as great, ambiance perfect. The problem is if you have a afternoon flight you still need to check out in their time no extension, or else you need to pay. But they let stay in their relaxing lounge... and... More

Hello Ry Q Thank you for your comments and choosing to stay at Airways Hotel. From time to time we run fairly high occupancy. As any other hotel the check in and check out times are clearly stated on the registration card. As you would appreciate that we have to clean the rooms for other guests who expect to check... More

There is a shuttle from and to the airport, it is not even 10 mn away. The hotel is located in a secured resort, and is nicely hidden in the bush and trees. The design is a mix of modern and traditional with a lot of timber. The service is good and there are definitely many staff... Rooms are clean,... More

Have not stayed at the Airways for about 5 years, what a difference. It is beautiful, the whole hotel looks magnificent. Rooms are well appointed and comfortable. Had both the dinner and breakfast buffet, it is so relaxing sitting on top of the hill overlooking the sites and when you look the other way is the pool.

Nobody really wants to stay in Port Moresby, but needs must and this is, supposedly, the best hotel in town. I've not stayed anywhere else so can't comment on that. Yes it is luxurious, security conscious and has a pool and breakfast buffet with a view, but don't expect to be made to feel welcome! Perhaps they make more effort... More

Fantastic service, very good facilities and lovely attentive staff. It's expensive - but everywhere in Port Moresby is expensive. Breakfast overlooking the highlands and airport was a highlight. It's about 20 mins from town but the hotel can arrange transport to and fro. You at least get to see the city a bit more which I thought was worth the... More

I stayed here for business and was upgraded to a suite -which was sweet! Nice sitting area and large bathroom. The food at Bacchus was the best I had in Port Moresby - besides the omelet at the Crown Plaza. It was gourmet for sure. The buffet at the rooftop restaurant wasn't that great - not a ton of variety.... More

Hello Singmaster Thank you for making the switch and staying at the Airways Hotel. I happy to know that you tried Bacchus restaurant and enjoyed the food. Its a shame that you felt that we did not make good omelets. All our guests think that our omelets are great. May be next time you are here we will ensure that... More

Just spent a few days in PNG on a layover on my way to Brisbane. I felt at home with some of the attempts at Indian food but enjoyed it most when I was exposed to the National staff at the hotel who were very accommodating and kind. The food is a bit bland and the hotel has adopted a... More

Hello Ajith Thank you for your comments and pointing out some defects at our Gym. They have been fixed. I am sorry to hear that our Indian cooking was not to your liking. This is one the better hotels in Port Moresby. It is close to the airport but far from any other place. The rooms are generally good, the restaurant is above average but the steak house Baccus is way too expensive for average food it serves.

Hello Drtravell007 Thank you for your comments. You are right that our hotel is very close to the airport however the distance to the city centre is not that far considering in some of the cities you have to travel 1 hour or so to get to the hotel. We can provide transport to the city and back. Bacchus is... More
