As part of a package for our trek this was first and last night of a trip to PNG. The boat ride across the bay is pleasant. The bus ride to the boat ride is depressing, skirting Moresby's CBD, which may or may not be a good thing. Anyway, the arrival was interesting, onto the long jetty in what was... More

My hubby and I stayed here for our last night in PNG after a trip to Tari and Karawari. We were warned that Port Moresby is not safe so opted for Loalata. At first we were disappointed since it is advertised as a 'resort', and it is far from the case. When the owner was not around, the customer service... More

The best thing that you can say about this "resort" is that it is safe and they are resting on those laurels. The place is grubby with bits of trash around and "rustic" is too kind. All the reviews must have been written by trekkers who had eaten packaged rations for 7 days on the trail-the food was overcooked, had... More

Loloata resort is probably the safest place to stay around Port Moresby. Don't expect a 5 star hotel, prices in the area are high but in this respect Loloata is a fair deal. With some 20+ bungalows they offer an all inclusive formula, the food is good. Very friendly staff, so is the boss..

I was a regular at the Loloata Resort while I lived in Port Moresby. It was great getting out of town, and provided a lovely drive and day out. Diving crew is very professional, and the boats are new and easy to access the water in full diving gear. The accommodation is fairly basic, but air con rooms are available;... More

A stones throw from POM, Loloata is a breath of fresh air. It is completely unpretentious, with life set at a relaxed pace and nothing is too much trouble. The diving was good, without being great. The accommodation was all that it needed to be, it wasn't 5 star and there weren't tv's in the room, but really when you're... More

This was my second trip to Loloata and it seemed to be better than last time. Having been there already I knew what to expect in terms of rooms. The rooms are basic but very clean and the washrooms are not bad at all. We got the air conditioned rooms facing the ocean and I would implore you to spend... More

the resort has a history,so the rooms can not be so comfortable。But on the other hand, you can have your breakfast with a kind of beautiful pigeon, and on your way back to your room, mini kangaroos will jump across. You can also enjoy the sunrise or the sunset when you climb up to the top of the island.I am... More

A great little find off the coast. Secure, reasonable food and competent service. The boat ride was great. We had just trekked Kokoda and this was a oasis before reconnecting with the world. Only real downside was units located over the water. Sounds romantic until you realise how much noise the water makes rushing underneath all night! Not so romantic... More

After 3 long weeks of travelling all over PNG we stayed 2 days at this paradise before we started our long travel home. We enjoyed of every minute: nice place, nice food, nice people, excellent service. They even have wi-fi...
