Right from the moment I was handed my room key by the driver picking me up at the airport I knew this hotel was going to be different. It sure was. A very convenient location in the CBD and Harbour City. The service was impeccable, the staff friendly and efficient, nothing was too much trouble. Even my 4am pick up... More

This is by far the best hotel in Port Moresby. I have stayed in the rest and in my opinion I have now stayed in the best. Food was as good as I have eaten in Gordon Ramseys restaurant in London matched with superb wines. Staff were like what I would describe as shadow ghosts there when you needed them... More

A little bit of civilisation in what can be quite an uncivilised city...especially of a night time. Food and accommodation is very good on international standards and excellent on Papua New Guinea standards.

This hotel is an island in a sea of chaos. I was advised not to leave the hotel due to crime issues in the area. That being said, staying at the hotel ain't that bad. The rooms are nice, modern, spacious, and comfortable. The gym is well equipped, and provides a great view from the top floor. The pool is... More

I usually stay at the Crowne Plaza but having read about the Grand Paps weekend walk in rate (K599 including breakfast for two) I "walked in" and booked a room. This is my second stay at this hotel. The staff were absolutely fantastic-attentive and very well mannered. However one thing spoilt my experience. I have stayed in Hotels all over the... More

Stayed at the Grand Papua for two nights. The room was clean and a good size. I had access to the Executive Lounge which was of benefit. The staff were very attentive. Across the two nights I dined in the restaurant for breakfast which was good and also the buffet lunch. The quality of the food was excellent. While it... More

This is the only hotel I've stayed at in PM, so I have nothing to compare it to locally. However, compared to Aust hotel prices it is very expensive. The food at dinner was good - I had the buffet which had an OK range of food. The hot breakfast options were average and expensive. Service is slow, not too... More

Stayed here for about 2 weeks on a business visit. In most countries this hotel would be considered a 3-star hotel but it is one of the best available in PNG (Papua New Guinea). It is really expensive. My expensive room did not have a microwave, yet the hotel couldn't get me one. The staff is mostly nice, they are... More

I stayed for one night and had a very pleasant experience. The room was clean and comfortable. The restuarant and staff are very good. In particular Joshua at the front desk and Allan at the concierge really went the extra mile to make sure my requests were promptly and efficiently attended to. I would definitely stay again Doug Kirwin

Prior to my trip, I was advised this was the best hotel available in Port Moresby. There is still a way to go for local staff to understand the minimum requirements of servicing a hotel room but hopefully they will get there. There was a book on a coffee table in the room which I picked up to read. To... More
