I stayed at the Grand Papua in Port Moresby for 3 days on business and could not complain. Great central location, safe and secure. The staff were friendly, and professional, the room was very nice, clean, comfortable and had all the necessities. Wifi was expensive, but then internet services in PNG is generally not reliable and expensive. The facilities are... More

Grand Hotel is the newest hotel in Port Moresby’s business district, just next to the Crowne Plaza. The rooms are nicely decorated; equipped with comfortable beds, a resting chair, writing desk, refrigerator, LCD TV and safe. A kettle for tea/coffee and two bottles of water are provided. The bathroom is clean and bright. Internet is shamefully overpriced and slow. The... More

Itll cost about $50 a day to get access to internet and the "executive " lounge. Now dont think this makes it exclusive. 2 staff dealing with hoards or people rightfully expecting service, food and drinks. There is no internet available within the hotel except for the lounge. Chaos seems to rule here. Recent changes to F&B staff also causing... More

Having stayed at many hotels in Port Moresby and throughout the region you often have a preconceived idea as to what to expect. I have stayed at the Grand Papua previously and on those occasions had very little time to enjoy the hotel due to work commitments. This trip I had one of my staff staying with me and we... More

I stayed at the GPH in January. It is a good hotel, located in downtown POM. It is expensive but I think all decent hotels in POM are, as there are few of them. The hotel seems to be new, so I was surprised with the mildew smell in my room. Although I was at a high floor, the smell... More

Great location in downtown Port Moresby. This hotel is very modern and the rooms very comfortable. Glorious sea views in both directions, Excellent breakfast and happy hour in the Executive Lounge if you are lucky enough to have that privilege. But it is not cheap at over AUD400 per night. Staff and management very friendly. Management makes a point of... More

We went in this hotel to have our lunch with my colleagues. The hotel looks good and newly built, the parking space is clean and the elevator at the parking area is good and clean as well. We went straight to the Grand Brasserie, the restaurant looks fascinating and modern. Few staffs are working at that time maybe we have... More

This will be my first review of the Grand Papua Hotel. I will follow with more as I stay more often here. The hotel itself is of a very acceptable standard. The Grand Papua Hotel is probably one of the best in Port Moresby. Staff is polite and they are working hard to deliver the best they can. It has a nice bar and restaurant. However, it is an expensive hotel in comparison to what it offers. There is a lot of room for improvement. To start with, internet is expensive... More
