If you want to stay in Paramaribo downtown, near everything you need, that's the place. The bedrooms are quite basic, with no air condition, but fan. They sell the breakfast but what they serve does not worth the price they charge. They speak English clearly and are gentle. Once back in Paramaribo, I will certainly stay there again. It is... The Albergo Alberga, as downtown Paramaribo, where it is located, is a nice surprise to whom arrive in the city center and has just a very superficial idea of the town's dynamics. Its location is super, as you can go everywhere with just a few minute walk. There was no air conditioned in the bedrooms; only a big fan. Unfortunately... More

This guest house is situated in an authentical colonial style building which ads to the experience. Rooms are spacious but not very clean. There is no warm water available, but the shower offers sufficiënt water. If you are looking for comfort, you might want to choose the extra buck. If not, this guest house is a budget friendly option to... More

Nice location, good price, great Balcony. Uncomfortable beds, old noisy fan and not that clean...the kids enjoyed themselves at the tiny pool. while reading and supervising next to the pool got attacked by mosquitos...at night 1am a group of loud Venezuelan guests checked in and were rearranging the rooms until 5am. Bad luck... But won't go back

Our group of 20 persons, adults and children booked with short notice. The desk clerk was very rude and unhelpful. Despite the age of this structure, EVERY single space has been used!! The toilets and bathrooms cater for dwarfs!!! We had to open the bathroom door to wash our feet....the space was so small. The wooden building transmits every single... More

Overall: Average. Good value for your money, clean, simple, excellent location. Pros: Amazing location, right near the center of it all and a 4 minute walk to the Waterkant (waterfront). Great price (cheap!). Clean. Easy to book, great communication from staff beforehand. Nice veranda to sit on at the top. Excellent wifi (I was on the first floor) Cons: Super-duper... More

I spent a few days at Albergo Alberga, and I would stay there again. There are some things you should know. The location is great and within walking distance of most things you would want in Paramaribo city. It is in a charming old building, and the verandah, I believe, is the best spot in all of Paramaribo. The breeze... More

Great place with very nice budget option of simple rooms with fan and outside (yet private) bathroom and shower. I stayed here a week and we got to move from few rooms. It has a very nice swimming pool that you can enjoy tropical rain in warm water. Hotel staff are very friendly and everything is quite clean. If you... More

At this guesthouse I saw a staff telling a guest to keep the door of their room closed or the mouse therein would get out in the hall. The staff concluded "problem solved" when the mouse ran into the linen closet. It's probably good that the mouse moved into the linen closet because maybe it will eat the linens and... More

Average for Paramaribo where more and more guesthouses are popping up. Be sure to get an AC room because even with a fan the rooms are stuff and hot. The beds are old, shaky and noisy like Guesthouse Twenty24. But its centrally located in a nice charming colonial home. Breakfast can be better, its basic and expensive.
