Location, location, location .... and in my case, a little history. I chose the guesthouse for a number of reasons; I have driven past is on a number of occasions and loved the building - its location is superb and the premises quirky. It was also the base for a fine writer, John Gimlette, whose book "The Wild Coast" remains... More

For us absolutelly adequate pension for overnights, few minutes of waterfront. Yes, an older colonial building and many many things to repair, replace, but very quit place, even small pool for relax. Maybe the breakfasts could be better... Staff very helpful with service, booking of taxi, tour, airport transfer. Pension for budget travellers, as younger, as retirees.

Super friendly staff, central location, nice clean pool. Good single room with shower and telivision. Everything you need for a small price. The staff makers you feel at home. Everyone is friendly and they arrange everything for you with a smile. Would go there again.

I've been to Paramaribo many time now and I often start by taking a nice and expensive hotel, but I alway finsh my stay at Albergo Alberga. And it is actually where I feel the best. It a really nice place to be, full of charm, the house is beautiful, idealy located, and the people running the place are really... More

We had a very good time here. The woman who was in charge explain us all about how to do to go to Georgetown by bus and recommended places to go out in town. Location was great and breakfast was tasty though not cheap

I am a backpacker, 37 yrs old, 50+ countries visited, traveling with partner. We stayed 4 nights, every night in a different room, #5, #17 & #n15 twins wih fan with private bathroom, #16 double with fan and a private bathroom. The hotel is in an old colonial wooden building with the carpeted floors which brings a specific kind of... More

If you want to stay in Paramaribo downtown, near everything you need, that's the place. The bedrooms are quite basic, with no air condition, but fan. They sell the breakfast but what they serve does not worth the price they charge. They speak English clearly and are gentle. Once back in Paramaribo, I will certainly stay there again. It is... The Albergo Alberga, as downtown Paramaribo, where it is located, is a nice surprise to whom arrive in the city center and has just a very superficial idea of the town's dynamics. Its location is super, as you can go everywhere with just a few minute walk. There was no air conditioned in the bedrooms; only a big fan. Unfortunately... More

This guest house is situated in an authentical colonial style building which ads to the experience. Rooms are spacious but not very clean. There is no warm water available, but the shower offers sufficiënt water. If you are looking for comfort, you might want to choose the extra buck. If not, this guest house is a budget friendly option to... More

Nice location, good price, great Balcony. Uncomfortable beds, old noisy fan and not that clean...the kids enjoyed themselves at the tiny pool. while reading and supervising next to the pool got attacked by mosquitos...at night 1am a group of loud Venezuelan guests checked in and were rearranging the rooms until 5am. Bad luck... But won't go back
