From the bus terminal in Asuncion, you can catch the bus nr. 38 (in front of the busstation, right behind the taxis). I think the bus nr 30 goes there as well, but i am not sure. Get off at the corner Gral Diaz and Alberti. It's only one and a half blocks from there to the hostel!

Me and my husband and our two friends been there for two nights and that was enough for us to say it was horrible. Firstly the service was really poor and its not worth 10 dollars for sure. They let people from the outside use their facilities and pool which is very dirtyby the way. Myfriend had his t-shirt drying... More

I arrived with a friend to Asuncion sometime after 5 pm without knowing where to stay. We wandered around in an area recommended by a friend. We asked people for directions and recommendations. We wanted a economical option and hotels were going for at least $50/night. After much walking while being exhausted, we found this place as indicated by one... More

I don't expect much for a $10 per night dorm stay, but this was well below the most modest expectations. The location was great and the AC seemed to be working, but there the positives end. The guy at reception made no effort to be welcoming. I booked an 8 bed dorm, but was shown to a room with 12.... More

El Viajero for us was unfortunately not a very great experience at all. We were shown to our dorm room which seemed separate to the rest of the hostel; we were taken down into the basement into a makeshift room without windows. The hostel at the time of our arrival was undergoing renovation work; there were no floors in our... More

I took the bus from Ciudad Del Este to Asuncion and arrived in the evening. I took a taxi to this hostel although, it is possible to also catch the bus. The hostel is in the heart of the city. It is large and has several dorms. When I arrived it wasn't particularly busy. I stayed in a ten bed... More

Able to walk in 24 hours. Clean, safe, fast internet, friendly staff. Breakfast is ok. They have an awesome swimming pool. Close to bus route to airport, so you can save money on taxi. Close to the tourist areas and 5 minute walk from big shopping mall. Will visit Asuncion again and will stay here again.

The place has got potential, but besides the fact they try to sabotage foreigners, they promise you one thing, and deliver you something terrible. We were 25 people who were supposed to stay in a dorm with showers, but they let us in a dorm with no showers, strangers, no doors, and the wall had cables coming out of it.... More

This is the worst place we have stayed in South America and one of the worst places we have ever stayed (having travelled continuously for 14 months plus numerous smaller trips to over 50 countries). The rooms were tiny; it was difficult to even find space to put our bags down let alone take anything out. The pool was filthy... More
