We stayed here twice...once for a single night and then at the end of our trip for 3 nights. The hotel is located a block away from the end of Palma street - a street with lots of bars and restaurants. It is a few blocks from Loma San Jeronimo. While the area looks a little sketchy, it is actually... More

I stayed last june (2014) a couple days because of what I read here in trip advisor, beside of the very good rate. First I must say the staff is really nice and helpful, The hotel is 150 years OLD! the owners who are part of the service staff will tell you the whole story about how the building served... More

The historic building is a delight, they quite tastefully maintain it without over-renovating it, same with rooms, plain in a tasteful way, nicer bathrooms then I would expect in this price range, staff is very friendly (Asuncion is a quite friendly City as such) Only downside, Calle Colon which the hotel faces has become a little noisy in recent decades. Well,... More

Located at the western edge of the easily reached "old town center", while the new town center is quite a bit further to the east. This hotel is definitely of an older generation and possesses its own colonial type of charm. The main people at the reception during the day time have a good to excellent command of English, and... When I'm in Asuncion, I always stay at Asuncion Palace Hotel! I served in the Peace Corps in Paraguay for three years and the Palace was my home away from home. Not only is it a beautiful place among the bustle of the Asuncion "centro", but the hotel staff is so warm and friendly! They went out of their way... More

Asuncion Palace is located in a perfect location if you want to stay in the old downtown. The new downtown is quite a distance away and is where you will find shopping malls, more restaurants and hotels, etc. To get a real feel for Paraguay and the city, however, I recommend staying in the old downtown. This hotel is within... More

The hotel is situated in the old central area of Asuncion, some 600 yards from the port and River Paraguay, with the main shopping street, Palma, being 2 blocks away. The pavements in the old central part are in a bad state of repair, but the charm of the place soon makes up for that. Alberto and his friends in... More

We arrived on a Friday night which is apparently party night in Asuncion so there were crowds in the streets and outside restaurants there were bands, good atmosphere. Hotel was old colonial building, we had a suite which was very much in keeping with the style of the hotel, lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful and the location was... More

The hotel is situated in the old part of the city. It is an old building from the beginning of the 19 century. High ceilings, and airy rooms.Rooms has mini-bar, and TV with satellite receiver. A bit old beds, but comfortable. The service is ok, but don't expect to much English knowledge. A bit far to the new part of... More

The Asuncion Palace Hotel has a perfect location in hectic Asuncion, Paraguay, and is a quiet, clean and comfortable refuge from the heat, noise and confusion that is Asuncion. It is a quick block away from catching a bus to almost anywhere you care to go in Asuncion. Some of the rooms have balconies and are clean, the beds comfortable... More
