This Hotel as gun and is still going under major renovation. New Gym, the entrance has been renovated. The exterior of hotel also. I've been travelling for business in Guyana for 3 years now, and this is the place to stay. Close to Downtown, US Embassy & Canadian High Commissioner just next street (walking distance). For business travellers Internet connection... More

I have been staying at the Pegasus Hotel for a number of years, starting in 2005. What I really like about the Pegasus is that it is in a convenient location, within walking distance of downtown and historic sites, comfortable, safe, has a great gym and a wonderful pool, and staff who have been there for many years and know... It's an old hotel that is being remodelled. The social areas, meaning the pool, restaurant and bar are very pleasant. But their gym, tennis court and conference area are disappointing. The rooms are decemt to sleep, but barely have lighting.Perhaps because of how expensive is the power. Unfortunately the area does not lend itself to walk around. My big issue... More

One week in August for a returning Guyanese. Friendly staff is the only good thing. Horribly overpriced and cheaper to take a taxi to sample local cuisine. Warned by staff NOT to take a short walk ( in broad daylight). Driveway flooded after 20 minute rainfall. Security stood by idly as a drunken brawl almost erupted poolside on the best... More

Just returned from spending 5 nights at the Pegasus. Probably your best, and safest, choice for a hotel in Georgetown. It is definitely showing its age but is right across the street from the embassy and the pool/bar area is quite nice. The room was comfortable and cool but damp. The bed was more comfortable that i thought it would... More

As a native New Yorker who loves American cuisine, I was pleasantly surprised with the variety of dishes that the Pegasus had to offer to the tourists who stay at this hotel. This is the second time I have stayed at the Pegasus within one year and their food is by far the best I have tasted in Guyana. Whether... More

Breakfast was outstanding, I would ensure you get it included with your room. Service was good at times and bad at others. The breakfast crew was not that good, it seemed I was bothering the cook every morning for my omelet, but the breakfast was AWESOME. The staff that hangs out front was the very best! They were very helpful... More

Upon entering the lobby area, the first thing I am met with is a putrid sour smell. While walking toward the elevator, we passed an on duty guard sleeping. The rooms were small, but clean. Restaurant staff were disengaged and and rude. Outdoor lounge area has lighting that randomly shuts off every few minutes, making it impossible to see. Room... More

I stayed at the hotel with my 2 teenage daughters during a recent visit to Guyana and we were very impressed with the level of service, quality of rooms, food and amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed and looked forward to breakfast each morning. I loved how they incorporated the local dishes (which were delicious) with the international staples. We also enjoyed... More

Wow what a pleasant surprise. We arrived from Miami very late. I called and spoke with Brian. He was so kind and accommodating. We were tired and VERY HOT ! The hotel is very clean and extremely friendly. We walked in to a beautiful cool and comfortable room. Oh, I have to mention that our room attendant Vanitra was the... More
