I have been returning to Guyana for about 3 weeks to a month annually, I always stay at the Pegasus because I enjoy every aspect of my stay there, from management, front desk staff, kitchen staff, waiter and waitresses, cleaning staff and the security. I will be returning for my annual visit and of course I will be staying at... More

We stayed here in February, right before flying back to the US. After staying a few days in the interior, this place was like heaven on earth. The hotel grounds was very up to date, modern and clean. The pool area was amazing. We had dinner by the pool, and surprisingly the food was reasonably priced. Our room was fantastic.... More

Pros -Well located. -Reasonable sized room. -Iron/ironing board in the room. -Comfortable bed. -Clean. -Standard hotel decor i.e., inoffensive colors and plain furniture. -Bathroom looked like it had recently been upgraded (likely due to a new Marriott hotel in construction next door). -Free and relatively fast wireless. -Good on-site amenities i.e., spa (had a massage and pedicure), gym, restaurant. -Restaurant... Much is lovely about this hotel. My room is quite pleasant and bright, the air conditioning works, there is plenty of hot water in the shower (no bathtub), the bed is comfortable, the sheets are soft, and breakfast is varied and plentiful. Some of the staff tries to be quite obliging. The gym is larger and better than many hotels... More

I landed in Guyana at 7am, my transport and my guide collected me and we started driving towards what was described as some in the airport as the number one hotel in GT. Upon arriving at the lobby I was confused instantly if the people who described it as the number hotel in George Town have never been to the... More

Another horrible stay at the Peg... Paying US$200 for a room next to the noisy boiler room! Going from bad to worse. Please, please open the Marriott soon! Avoid at all costs. Room 3003 Kingston Wing Breakfast is truly bad as well...Now you have to get a ticket before you get a plate ????

This place has had no competition for decades, and you can tell: slow service, poor maintenance, dodgy toilets, clumsy staff. Marriott will finish it off, I'm sure..... Food at pool area was just bearable......

The Pegasus Hotel is the best hotel in George Town. It is not bad, just very very tired. It is walking distance for a number of key sites and businesses. The staff is very friendly and the food is great.

For the money, the Pegasus represents poor value, even by Georgetown standards (I've been to a number of different Georgetown hotels.). There is nothing of worth within a twenty minute walk of the hotel. The lobby is relatively bare and has wires hanging out of walls in at least two places. The walls need cleaning and the couches are stained.... More
