After doing some fairly extensive research on where to spend my 4 nights in Bogota I settled on Abadia Colonial. It was an almost perfect stay. Friendly welcome on arrival. My room was close to the front of the hotel. It had a lovely old world colonial feel to it. The room was very spacious with plenty of space to... More

Charming old hacienda feel. Shower was hot with great water pressure. Bed was the nicest I've had in colombia so far with a thick down comforter. Helpful staff. Great location within walking distance of all the museums. (All within 0.5k). Wifi was great.

second time I booked a room at Abadia colonial - I really like the place. the old colonial house is very nice and the interior is quite tasteful. It's relatively cheap and the room are quite large. I really like location. Their restaurant is very decent. The view from the restaurant terrasse on the first floor is very nice looking... More

Adorable little Hotel in Candaleria ditrict. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are delicate and clean. The staff speaks little english but are very helpful. We loved it. And would prefer this autenthic little place before the big fancy hotels. One of the receptionist even took us sightseeing in Zona T.

As titled, this place has an old colonial style to it and a thoughtful restaurant theme. Helpful staff though difficulty with English. Well located within walking distance to plaza, art gallery, museums... but late at night it's not so safe to walk around outside. I enjoyed the steak and beer. The chef is decent.

A beautiful place in a great location in the Candaleria area of Bogota. Could walk to the Gold Museum. Superb room for a family of 4 people although pretty expensive. In room safe wasn't working and was difficult to communicate with them in pigeon Spanish to ask to use one in another room! Very friendly staff and most obliging. Food... More

Pros: Excellent location. Nice decorating style and very clean. Two patio areas. Nice front desk staf, helpful with ordering taxis. In-room safe and big armoire for clothing storage. Water pressure was good. Cooked to order breakfast (although not without issues). They take credit cards and the billing was correct. Cons: Disorganized reservation system despite the "no refund policy", when I... More

perfect location, safe, quiet, lovely colonial building. Friendly and helpfull staff and owner. The restaurant was good. Only one small warning: the restaurant is supposed to be closed early on Sunday evening, although the opposite was mentioned several times to us, by mail and when we arrived. We asked specifically because we were to arrive around 9-10 pm, coming from... More

There is some good, some bad, but no ugly. First off, the location in La Candelabra is conveniently located to the attractions in the neighborhood (Simon Bolivar Plaza, Gold Museum, Botero, etc...) We never felt unsafe walking around at night but we also didn't venture too far from the hotel at night. At night the neighborhood was quiet. The rooms... More

Everything about this place was perfect. Great location (one block from Museo Botero); quiet; charming; good breakfasts, with fresh juices and home-made sweet bread or home-made arepa. The shower was reliably hot and constant. I spent 4 nights there, and came back for an unplanned 5th night. I was traveling alone, and had a single room. Yes my single room... More
