My wife and I stayed here in May. The room is very cozy and decorated nicely. Chantelle was great, making us feel at home. The breakfast was very good, and the location is perfect, in the heart of La Candelaria.

We saw quite a few hostels in the Candelaria area (a few very nice but most so so) until we bumped into a girl painting a "campesino" scene on the facade of the building. This was for sure one of the best budget hostels we stayed in Colombia and made our experience in Bogota much brighter. Sara, the host has... More

My boyfriend and myself had a wonderful time staying at the guest house. An extremely quaint, unique and soulful place, SieChita definitely enriched our experience in Bogota. Everything from the colorful and elaborately painted rooms to the home made breakfast table helped make us feel part of the La Candelaria community. The essentials were all provided for and kept clean,... More

Cool little place in convenient location in La Candelaria. Stayed in "green" room, the one with the balcony. Very nice. The bed is a matress on a log foundation. Sheets were a little worn, but comfortable. I think the other reviews are a little generous on their rating, Maybe because it is a little funky and has a relaxed atmosphere.... More

Hi Tim. We thank you for choosing to stay with us. We welcome guest comments and critiques that can help us to improve the guest experience. It's unfortunate that you never came to us with any of your concerns during your stay, because as the manager and owner of this family-run establishment, I would have gone above and beyond to... We spent a whole month backpacking Colombia and were super happy to stay here on our last weekend. It's a guesthouse with only 3 rooms in the heart of La Candelaria, all of them really nicely decorated, and we loved our room and super comfortable bed! The breakfast was also lovely. The girls there were very helpful whenever we asked... More

We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us and are happy to hear you found our service helpful. We pride ourselves in having very comfortable beds when compared to our competitors, especially since we spent an entire day laying on mattresses until we found the right ones. We look forward to seeing you again in Bogotá.... More

Our stay: September 2013 - belated review! The green room is an economic private room option in the heart of the city, superior to the hostel option if you are two people and can afford a little more to have a private room with shared bathroom. The comfy mattress and central location with mountain view and small balcony was so... More

I went to SieChita guesthouse myself from the 23th of November to the 6th of December with my mom and dad, and I was very satisfied. We felt like we were living very close to the population. The staffs is personal, very friendly and is glad to give some advises. The andesecotour, which works together with the guesthouse, is also... More

An Awesome guesthouse that really has managed to encapsulate what Colombia is really about. Extremely welcoming and friendly owners who did their upmost to make sure we had the most comforting and enjoyable stay. They were always available and very helpful with suggestions on what to do around the area. The rooms are cosy and each add their own creative... More

After reading the reviews of previous guests, I was expecting to really like my stay at SieChita. Unfortunately, it wasn't at all what I expected and I ended up leaving after the first night even though I had prepaid for 3 nights. While the room itself was okay, the guesthouse was freezing cold, dark, and quite dirty, and the owners... More

To be honest, I am actually quite shocked to find this review. This guest contacted me via email about a month before and I responded to all of her questions and needs. She arrived late at night and took off early the next morning, though I didn't understand why. In fact, she looked like she had been crying and I... More

Love this place, located in the trendy areas named "La Candelaria" - a must! I have stayed here twice and every time I leave look forward to returning! Thanks for the wonderful review. We love hearing from our guests and are even happier when we get to share time outside of the house - whether it be salsa dancing, happy hour or one of many cultural events happening here in la Candelaria. More
