Everyone is really cool and kind, located a block from Botero Museum and really close to good bars. The breakfast is bread with jam and cereal with milk. There is free coffee and you can use the kitchen.

Nice and quiet hostel. Well located: next to touristic places and it is more o less near the bars and discos. Everything works perfect. The persons that work in the Martinika help you in anything you need.

The good: -Clean rooms/bathrooms/showers (warm) -breakfast included -large, well stocked kitchen -decent Internet (can stream youtube) -free coffee brewed all day -living room/tv area set up well to meet ppl -located near Bolivar Plaza (Oro & Botero Museums) -cheap, same day laundry The bad: -This area of Bogota can be a little dangerous at night (though I didn't have any... After a stressful journey from London, a very welcoming landfall. The staff and management were pleasant and helpful and made me feel at home straight away. I was to find that breakfast in Colombian hostels is a rarity and although the quality here was not perfect, the quantity was more than enough to keep the wolf from the door. They... More

Shes mad as a hatter (in a good way) and had me in fits of laughter as soon as i entered the hostel. The staff were superb, very helpful and friendly. Stayed here 3 nights and booked a private room w/shared bathroom. On the upside - Staff are friendly. Breakfast is included. There was hot water every time I wanted a shower. Wifi signal was quite good most of the time. Location is handy and I had no safety concerns. On the downside - Despite having a private room, #2 is... More

I was at the Hostal a grand total of 4 nights, and have hardly any complaints. The only real issue with the dorms, is that they are at the street side, which results in them being rather noisy. Everything else was up to par. Lockers, warm water, breakfast, space. Not really a 'party hostel', but a great location and with... More

I spend 4 nights here with 2 of them in the dorms and 2 night in a single. I liked that the hostel was clean and quiet at night. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is good with it being close to the sights of Candelaria. The breakfast was basis and the same everyday, but it's free.... More

Nice friendly and knowledgeable stuff. Good hearty breakfast. Clean toilets but no kitchen. Hot showers a bit funky. Common areas are near most rooms and tend to be quite noisy with the wrong kind of inconsiderate guests. Conveniently located near everything. Also near supermarket and food places etc. and the metro for the airport bus station. I stayed there around... More

Hey there, thanks for the kind words. The only thing that makes we wonder if you are talking about Swiss Hostal Martinik is that you say there is no kitchen when in fact we have a huge kitchen (this place used to be a restaurant). And you are right, some guests are sometimes a little loud but we are firm... More

Pros: - Very friendly staff - Save hostel - Warm shower - Clean - Tom is great! - Lockers next to the reception - good location Cons: - Freezing in the hostel - Staff is so slow - Boss badly organized (staff needed help because so many people wanted something, but the owner just sat next to the reception and... Hi there, sorry to hear about your mixed feelings about our hostel. Still, I would like to clear up a few little things. The luggage room has a fee for people who leave their luggage for days, weeks, sometimes months. It's 1,000 per day with a max. of 20,000 per month ... quite reasonable. If you only need to leave...
