Martink was one of the best backpacking hostels I have even stayed in, and I've stayed in a lot. The owner and staff made me feel very at home, and fostered a sense of fun and community among the guests. They made you feel welcome and comfortable. It's not a party hostel, it's a home where you can relax between... More

One of the best hostels in Bogota, excellent value for money and great location, merely few meteres away from the tourist attractions. The internet connection was so good i could watch 2 hrs documentary on youtube. You get a free breakfast, free towels, free locks as well as free coffee all day, which btw tasted delicious. The whole place, rooms, bathrooms and... More

Make sure you look at the newer reviews for this place... as many of the reviewers noted, this is under new ownership by a Canadian woman named Sophie. Sophie was great, energetic and very helpful - and very particular about the cleanliness of the place. The shared rooms near the street may get a little loud since it is a... More

I stayed there last month. The price is reasonable and the atmosphere is very nice. They have strong wifi and free breakfast is included. And the free coffee tastes sooo good!! If you stay in Bogota I strongly recomend this place.

I was in April in this hostel and I liked it because: 1. very cheap. 2. The best locaton in Bogota, close to Bolivar plaza and to the museums and even you can walk 15 minutes to the monserrate. 3. Ecxellent staff, always happy to help. 4. Very clean. 5. Not noisy. 6. A supermaket is less then 5 minutes... More

Martinik is the hostel to stay at in bogota. The location is prime and also safe. It's not a party hostel but I still had a lot of fun here getting to know the other guests and hanging out. Huge shout out to the awesome staff... Especially Sofie the owner. They are more than willing to answer any question and... More

I have stayed at this hostal a number of times over the years and it is looking a little tired, but the staff are exceptional and the hostal offers great value. I accidentally left my laptop charger at the hostel when checking out but after contacting staff the next day they located it and returned it to me. Would definitely... More

We stayed in martinik for 2 nights, 1 night in the dorms and 1 night in a double room. Both nights were great, the hostel is very clean, quiet and fun. The kitchen is pretty big and the internet is damn fast! Locationwise is also great since you are in the heart of the historic center! Sophie (the owner) is... More

This is a professionally run hostel with an attentive staff. Sophie, the owner, truly cares about the needs of the traveler/her guests. Before my arrival I had several questions which I e-mailed to the hostel. Each time, my e-mails/questions were promptly answered. The hostel is clean and well laid out with plenty of common areas. While my private single room... More
