This was my worst experience at hostels during my 3 months in South America. I arrived at 5AM and of course I did not expect a room at that time. I toured the town as I waited for my room to open up for the 2 PM check in time. Being tired I was ready for a shower and a... More

Thank you for your report, we appreciate your hints, we will solve the issue of our staff letting you in at your room without checking it was cleanned, we believe the staff has been busy at that moment an got confused with the staff which room was ready. ABout our staff working with her kids, no pun intended ? we... More

We arrived at adventure brew hostel by recommendation of great unlimited pancakes!! Hello, after traveling for over a month pancakes was something much needed!! We ended up loving the location, the ability to use the kitchen, and the friendly staff. Not to mention the one free beer a night per person!! One building of Adventure Brew is the dorms and... After three nights on buses and trains, I was ready for a good sleep, which I got. The private room, although a bit spartan and cold, had a comfortable, warm bed, and a hot shower. The staff at the front desk were so-so, and although I paid in full on arrival, there was a problem when I checked out (that... More

Fairly basic but cheap accommodation. We treated ourselves to a private room which felt necessary in chaotic & wonderful La Paz! Love the micro brewery on site for when you don't feel like trekking to the bars (especially when still acclimatising to the altitude) The free pancake breakfast was a very welcome surprise, loved them!!

Visited in Summer 2013. A vibrant hostel, for sure. Beds were comfortable, good hot showers and a really great pancake (unlimited!) brekkie. The larger dorms were nothing special, but still we were grateful to get a bed rather than spending the night on the roads one of Bolivia's awful overnight bus services. The noise was quite bad as there were... More

I was with my girlfriend there during few days in January and we booked a private room. The rooms were ok, a bit dark, a bit cold but they at least had showers that got warm which is always a plus! The location is not that bad. You can walk from the hostel to all the main spots in the... More

Pros: - pancake brekkie and milk coffee - great atmosphere, bars, game tables Cons: - not wifi for 2 days - bathrooms were semi clean but not cleaned regularly (once a day when 50+ people are using 6 bathrooms and 5 showers was not enough) - staff were hopeless. Tried to make us pay upfront (first time we have experienced... More

The hostel is very well located and there is a great bar & restaurant within it - but it wasn't the perfect stay. When my friends and I arrived we had been travelling all day and were very tired. We had our booking all ready as we had booked in months in advance, however when we arrived the man at... More

We were looking forward to our 5 night stay in the private room portion of this hostel. We stayed in an double private with private bathroom. The room was poorly lit, damp and the WC was nasty. Semi-cold and powerless shower. Towels provided were damp. They did not refill WC paper and we had to ask many times for new... More

Stayed here after some hectic travelling for two nights. Didn't spend much time in the hostel as out galivanting but almost everything was to our satisfaction, showers, bed, breakfast, wifi etc. (hard not to be after busses etc.!!). The only thing was it was quite noisy from the traffic outside.
