We heard rather good feedback about this hostel, so chose to book 2 nights there. We arrived early so left our bags at the "depositorio" with the security guard - I left the luggage room for 10 seconds and came back, to find the guard going through my bag.....!!!! I got upset, and he just replied that my bag was... More

Sorry About your Problem, to find out what happen with that Staff at the storage we need to know if you where at the B&B or the Big Hostel. Its a Pity you didnt ask for the Manager to solve this issue, with the person involved. We know our staff very well and will found out if something went wrong... More

We stayed here on 2 separate occasions during our time in La Paz. This was a great base for us with comfy beds, warm showers and sociable atmosphere - we particularly liked the free beer. The hostel is quite cold though so wrap up warm or hire a hot water bottle or heater!

We stayed here off and on during our month long expedition in Bolivia. We were a 17 strong school party, 14 students and 3 staff. All in all it was an ok experience. Some of the students complained of bed bug bites but the staff were all pretty happy with the accommodation. The free breakfast consists of tea, coffee and... More

There are two hostels under this name ( around 10 metres between them); initially I had the reservation in the " noisy" location ,after one day I moved to the other hostel which was very good . I stayed in a 4 bed dorm ( 80 Bo per night), clean, quiet, decent breakfast( pancakes , gem, coffee and tea ),... More

We stayed in this big, clean hostel a few years back, but it was a great place to be! As part of a month long expedition, we stayed here for 4 nights. 15 of us shared a large room with bunk beds. The hostel's brewery function is niche and is definitely worth a stay. Really well situated with safe (we... More

Big hostel, clean, rooms are big and confortable. But it's noisy, the bar is inside the hostel. Showers not so clean but at list hot. Staff is not the most welcoming, not so far from city center, but not in the center. No restaurants around, so you have to take a taxi during night because it could be unsafe outside.... More

Good place to base yourself for trips in and around La Paz. There is a travel agent based at the hostel so arranging things is very easy. The free beer in the evening and pancakes for breakfast helps too.

There is nothing wrong with this hostel, showers are warm, beds are soft, you get a good beer every day. But you get kind of sick of pancakes every day and the staff is not that great and sometimes its a bit noisy. If I were you I would stay at the adventure brew b&b 5 doors down, its a... More

The food gave me foodpoisoning. The beds gave me bedbugs. The staff was very unfriendly and uninterested in helping you. The beer tastes horrible. The breakfast idem dito. The only 'plus' about this place is that it's cheap, but you'll buy yourself for 49bolivianos into the most terrible hostel ever.

This was the most disorganised crappy hostel experience I have had in 6 months in the whole of South America. Firstly you have to know that there are 2 hostels down the street from each other and they share staff. So if you are in one you might have to go get your food or apparent free beer from the... More
