I was on Milton Hotel for 3 days on summer 2014. It was the best place for visiting the cities, near to the black market and the center. All the staff were fully available for anything, clever and polite. I suggest to everybody want to spent some days in the city. During the weekend the hotel is surrounded by a... More

Great location: 10 minutes walking to Plaza San Francisco (Where you can Also get the airport combi) and ATM, 5 min to good restaurants, market on the same road, a couple of small shops nearby. Comfy room: we had 507- amazing view, enough space for all our staff, perfectly working Wi-Fi, good bed, clean bathroom with big hot shower. Kind... More

I unexpected had to stay in La Paz after I was arrested and thrown in jail for 4 hours for a made up "visa issue". I missed my flight to Peru and subsequently my Inca Trail/MP reservation and I came to this hotel with a swollen face (from bawling my eyes out for 4 hours straight) and in a very... More

My huusband and I just moved down the street from the aging, grimy Milton Hotel to Nuevo Sol Hotel (same price at $200 Boliv. per night) . We had a fantastic view from the Milton, but the rooms and halls are dark, small and grimy- but the real kicker was the pervasive, overpowering and sickening smell of gas in the... More

Having left some noisy hotel in the zona turistica, we were very happy to stay in the old-fashioned, freakily-walled Hotel Milton around the corner (no modern/in-crowd environment!). Got room 405 (no gasoline smells), much quieter than the former hotel, and were happily woken up by the warming sun shining through our window. Looking out of the same, you can watch... More

I stayed there for a week. The location is only 300m from San Francisco church. I stayed at dorm actually it was twin room and it costs only 7.5USD. Wifi is great and the view from top of the hotel is fantastic. If you wanna go to some places outside of La Paz they can keep your luggage for free.... More

Very highly recommended. I spent a week here April/May 2014 The location is perfect. It's very cental, easy access to the centre and the sights, but a couple of blocks down from the main tourist area where the majority of the hotels, hostals, restaurantes and travel agencies are. So you're conveniently close to them, without being in the thick of... More

A word of warning - some rooms seem to get a very strong smell of gasoline through their bathrooms' air vents. I originally checked into room 201, but before it was even nighttime the gasoline smell was too strong to bear, even with the bathroom door closed it spread in the whole room. They let me change rooms to 101,... More

This hotel has a retro look to it, a bit high up and a bit off the beaten path, none of which I hold against it. The service is a bit lackadaisical, especially about time-sensitive things (like getting a taxi to the airport), but friendly. The decor in the interior is without compare, with an abundance of hand-painted kitsch that... More
