After 12 hours over night bus from Uyuni to La Paz, Hotel Milton is a heaven to us! Since we didn't have much hot showers from salad flat 3 days tour in Uyuni. Hotel Milton's shower not only hot but also really strong!!!! The staffs are really friendly, let us check in early at 9am in the morning. Also, they... More

The room has no charm and no heater but you can enjoy hot shower and is quite unusual In Bolivia ! Wifi is ok. Choose a room at the back because it will be quieter and you ll have a good view of this impressive city ! Staff is professional and welcoming.

Pros: Budget hotel Hot shower Decent breakfast Staffs are friendly except for the owner Elizabeth Cons: Rude and impolite owner Elizabeth - makes the travel experience unpleasant Make sure you get a reciept and anything they promise black and white on a paper; they tends to over-promise It's up on the hill and will be challenging given the high altitude... I was on Milton Hotel for 3 days on summer 2014. It was the best place for visiting the cities, near to the black market and the center. All the staff were fully available for anything, clever and polite. I suggest to everybody want to spent some days in the city. During the weekend the hotel is surrounded by a... More

Great location: 10 minutes walking to Plaza San Francisco (Where you can Also get the airport combi) and ATM, 5 min to good restaurants, market on the same road, a couple of small shops nearby. Comfy room: we had 507- amazing view, enough space for all our staff, perfectly working Wi-Fi, good bed, clean bathroom with big hot shower. Kind... More

I unexpected had to stay in La Paz after I was arrested and thrown in jail for 4 hours for a made up "visa issue". I missed my flight to Peru and subsequently my Inca Trail/MP reservation and I came to this hotel with a swollen face (from bawling my eyes out for 4 hours straight) and in a very... More

My huusband and I just moved down the street from the aging, grimy Milton Hotel to Nuevo Sol Hotel (same price at $200 Boliv. per night) . We had a fantastic view from the Milton, but the rooms and halls are dark, small and grimy- but the real kicker was the pervasive, overpowering and sickening smell of gas in the... More

Having left some noisy hotel in the zona turistica, we were very happy to stay in the old-fashioned, freakily-walled Hotel Milton around the corner (no modern/in-crowd environment!). Got room 405 (no gasoline smells), much quieter than the former hotel, and were happily woken up by the warming sun shining through our window. Looking out of the same, you can watch... More
