Stayed three nights in Hotel Presidente. The hotel is well situated being just steps from San Francisco church in one direction, and Plaza Murillo in the other direction. Easy walk to El Prado, the main drag in the city. I shared a room with my sister in law and we were quite comfortable. We were on the 11 th floor... More

We stayed at the Presidente Hotel in La Paz for 3 nights on our tour of Bolivia and found it to be very centrally located with a great staff that was always so helpful and our room on the 10th floor was spacious and clean. We had 2 big beds and a small sitting room with a fridge and a... More

Centrally located, very convenient hotel for the tourists, not anything near a 5 star. Very friendly staff, restaurant was good as well, but hotel needs to be renovated. Very Old carpets, beds and interiors. the fitness centre opens after 9.00 AM - bummer!!!

This hotel was kind enough to hold our baggage whilst we did a tour of the salt flats - a definitely plus However after the tour, we arrived back to La Paz at 6.30am. We asked could we check in early and were told we could only do so if we paid for a full extra night...so our room was... More

Not sure who gave this hotel a 5-star rating, but it definitely doesn’t deserve it. While it’s a nice clean hotel – it’s nothing to write home about. Shower didn’t work properly – 2 phone calls and no repair service provided; toilet operated slowly, requiring several flushing’s per use; wet carpet in the entry area, no response to calls to... On our last night in La Paz (and South America) on 18th Oct. 2015 we chose the restaurant on the top floor of this hotel because of the excellent ambiance, menu and great 360 degree views over the city. The restaurant has a capacity of approx. 200 and the night we visited there were no more than 30 diners. We... More

Practically everything hit the mark. Check in was fine, staff very helpful and friendly. Accept Credit card and debit card payments without fuss which can be an issue in Bolivia. they have PC in the basement you can access and print from if required. The room itself was spotless and spacious. But the real bonus was the view. Try to... More

1 Elavator permanent out of function, old facilities in the rooms, very bad english speaking staff, chaotic circumstances during breakfast, only positv: view from restaurant (with normal prices) over LA Paz.

Spent 3 nights here, should have been 2 but owing to problems in Potosi we instead had to stay here for 1 night before flying to Sucre and then 2 nights after Sucre. Room would have been fine except it was so hot and the only way to cool it a little was to open a window, traffic noises all... More

Our room was ok, extremely big and clean. That's why I recommend it, if you want to stay in the old city center. Just be aware that this is not a 5* hotel. It was, in 1997. The restaurants and common spaces are very old fashioned, as well as the rooms and the rest of the hotel. The swimming pool... More
