The staff was very friendly, the food was not so great though. The rooms very comfortable and the meeting rooms very comfortable too. The wifi internet was not very good in the rooms, but it was ok in the lobby and meeting rooms more
Stayed here 3 separate times during a 2 week trip to Bolivia. Rooms and bath are comfortable. Although my bathroom was warm, my bedroom was sometimes cold at night. There can be outside street noise, music, etc. The hotel has 2 restaurants: a coffee shop and a fine dining room. Both are adequate to good. Service can be slow. The... more
The Europa is supposedly one of the best Hotels in La Paz and Bolivia. By international standards this is not the case, but By Bolivian standards this is as good as it gets. I've stayed at the Hotel Europa several times over the past three years. It is expensive, by Bolivian standards, but has never failed to deliver. I had no problem getting an upgrade and a reduced rate for two stays of several days. The service is a bit odd at times but the key is... more
Stayed for one night as part of a tour of South America. Arrived tired after a drive over The Andes, and was amazed ! The Europa was all new, bright and refurbished. Huge room, comfortable beds, good bathroom. Shame about the coffee shop/restaurant. Eight of us ordered simple meals, these took over 30mins to arrive even though we were the only customers.... more
I paid about $140 for the room on asiarooms but noticed that you can get it for much cheaper on other websites. Hotel rackrate is $160. Europa is your typical business class hotel. We were a little annoyed that the fitness centre was closed for refurbishment but the equipment in their was terrible anyway. I never got the bathrobe I... more
When you arrive, especially at 4.00 in the morning, and hear the words "upgrade" your spirits rise. Mine did, when I found I was shooting up to the Presidential suite. For $105 a night I had (to myself) two bathrooms, 5 sofas, a dining table for 10, a walk in closet as big as many hotel rooms - you get... more
