It is amazing the difference that staff make to an experience. We stayed here three times as we travelled through Bolivia. The first two times we were greeted by indifferent staff which made us feel anything but welcome. The third time, a different lady was all smiles and happy to help with everything. We came back each time because the... More

When we arrived in La Paz, the altitude made us both quite ill and it was really cold and rainy. Hostel Sol Andino was so comfortable and clean with such lovely staff that we soon recovered. The hostel is brightly coloured, they give you loads of thick blankets, the breakfast was great, the laundry service was good value and the... More

As far as hostels go, this probably isn't what youd expect. There's no kitchen and no hang-out or social areas. If you dont want / need those things, then its probably spot on for you. Well situated (close to bus terminal and touristy spots like Witch Market) and with what can only be described as the best breakfast we had... More

This is more like a hotel with the price of a hostel! Great conditions (really clean room, hot shower with great pressure, unlike other places in Bolivia), the location it's quite close to the center and right next to the witches market, and the breakfast one of the best of our trip! Also The people in the reception Where extremelly helpfull.... I stayed here for 2 nights and really enjoyed it. The rooms were colourful, clean and comfortable. The location was great. It was near to the shops and markets. Breakfast was lovely. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. It was quiet at night. The hostel does a good laundry service too. I would recommend this hostel.

I cannot rate this place highly enough as it really has no faults. The rooms are well appointed and are painted with great murals, making them individual and bright. The breakfast is excellent for what you pay for. The staff are polite and helpful: one helped us flag down a taxi, negotiated the price for us and then waved us... More

Stayed here for a total of 5 nights, but used as a base in between going to Rurrenabaque and Lake Titicaca for a few days each. Firstly, it definitely feels more like a hotel than a hostel (beds made and fresh towels daily). I guess it's pricey for Bolivia but we were happy to pay just over £20 per night... More

We had a double room here and found the room to be of good size and comfortable enough and in a good location (at the top of the touristy streets full of restaurants and souvenirs etc) and breakfast was great, however there were a couple of negatives. The wifi didn't work for a whole day when we arrived and was... More

The Hotel has a good location, near the witch market and a very good pizzeria (Mozarella). The breakfast was very good and the room was ok. We found it a bit dark and the bed was not that comfortable but it was ok. The shower was nice and warm. Unfortunately you can't use the kitchen but the have a restaurant,... More

We arrived La Paz very early in the morning, and the reception was able to give us a room immediately, and it was impressive to have strong hot shower. Also, we booked a private city tour through the tour agency attached to the hostel and it was also an impressive tour! Not forgetting to mention, even though it stated free... More
