Friendly guy at the desk let us check in very early and even have breakfast for free that day. Decent sized room with private bathroom (with hot water!). Cable tv in room. There was WiFi but a little slow. Also, entire place was very cold! No heating anywhere. On the whole, very good location to be based in for La... More

The location of this hotel is great close to the witches market, other markets, squares, and restaurants. The rooms were decent as well, a bit small but comfortable and clean. I went here with a tour group called Intrepid Travel, there was about 16 of us in the group. One person had their passport and 500 USD stolen from his... More

I cannot speak highly enough of the service I received from this hotel. They went far beyond what I would reasonably expect. Firstly the rooms were nice and clean, the hotel is in a good location and the staff were informative and helpful, as standard in any decent hotel I stayed at in South America. However, what really impressed me... More

I stayed for three nights at the end of a group trip. The hotel is in a very good central location, just around the corner from the Witches' Market and up the road from the main square. The rooms were basic and super cold when I stayed (early January) - I walked around wearing my jacket and there was no... More

Everything was dirty and the restaurant was disgusting. Breakfast was horrible so we didn't even have it. The staff were dodgy... We wanted a drink in the bar at 8pm and the two bar men were in there watching TV and wouldn't serve us, they said the bar was closed. The reception staff were very dodgy around us booking and... The best thing about this hotel is its location. You would be one corner from the amazing witches market, there are two ATMs nearby and most of the best La Paz' travel agencies are at the same street. My first minutes there were kinda weird. There were many asian tourists checking in at the same time I was and the... More

I stayed here as part of a tour group and enjoyed my stay here. The rooms although not large, are clean and comfortable. The breakfast is basic but enough, if you want more there is a great cafe next door. I found the service to be of a very high standard especially the manager Ricardo who assisted me greatly. I... Really enjoyed my stay here. Nice clean rooms and very helpful staff. The breakfast is basic but you do have the choice of purchase other items such as eggs etc. if you so wish. The hotel is next to a lovely cafe and their are also two ATM's nearby. The hotel is a short walk (up hill) from the church... More

Hotel Sagarnaga is a lovely hotel and I was priviledged to have a room that looked out towards Mt Illiamani. You felt part of the family which made you feel very welcome and it is really well situated for the witches market and souveniers as well as a 5 minute walk to La Paz City.
