Great location, but poor hotel overall. Dirty, stained carpets in my room. Tire hard pillows. Full of crumbs on the floor in the breakfast area with dirty placemats. Very limited and ordinary breakfast food.Shame.

Stayed here at the end of a tour with a Intrepid, would not stay here again Pros: good location Cons: everything else Showers were cold the whole time we were there Toilet paper is not filled up frequently Breakfast is very ordinary, many of the people skipped the included breakfast to go to cafe Mundo up the road They don't knock and say 'room service'. You can be in the room with the door locked and someone will open the door slightly, see you are in the room and close it. It's a very creepy feeling & happened a number of times during my 3 day stay. On one occasion my room mate was leaving at 4am for an early flight, and after she left I thought I heard the door open and close. I got up and put the bedside table in front of the door Security is not great. The rooms can

I have been robbed in Eva Palace Hotel during my staying there 26-29 Septemebr 2014 together with backpacker's club from Poland. Somebody stolen money (200 Polish zloty, 50 euros and supposedly 100 USD $ and Neuevo sols. Besides one of my panties disappeared from my bag! I share a room with two doors what made easy entrance for potential thief in very short time (during our breakfast). As it was no possible to contact with hotel directly by e-mail I had to comment this event here. I hope that the owner of theis hotel will propose any recompensation of my loss. This place has friendly staff at the desk and a good location but that really is about it in the way of positives. The rooms were cold, damp and the beds were dirty. The Shining came to mind a few times. The biggest issue is security as the lift is accessible from the mall below. Also we had four notes in a wallet specifically set aside as a tip for a guide. The wallet was at the bottom of a backpack and when we went to put the cash into a card there were only three notes. It's a clever skim that we never would have been sure happened had we not specifically set that amount aside. At once point we had people walk into our room and then scurry once they heard us in there which was also worrying. Not recommended.

Location, location, location is pretty much all this place has going for it. Literally right in the middle of things OK I am being unfair. The rooms are basic, but for the price you'd expect this. Hot water was intermittant, breakfast was a massive fail (go to the coffee shop/hostel next door open at 9am) and we were warned that our belongings were not safe (even from the staff) by management I don't often score so low, prefering to give smaller, cheaper hoteliers a break, but this place was the scond worst hotel in a 6 week trip to South America. That's right the tents on the Inca Trail rated higher and only The Salt Hostel in San Juan rated lower and that was a hostel, in the middle of the salt flats with rude staff and owners. Rant over, no wouldn't stay here again.

I stayed here one night, my last night in Bolivia because all other places in the neighbourhood were booked. It was a big strike in Peru and I was forced to buy a ticket for the plane , the last chance to cross the border from La Paz to Peru. The location is fantastic , in proximity of Iglesia San Francisco. It is a huge hostel, more than a hotel with a lot of rooms and few tourists in the middle of the weekend. But it is ugly at all. My room was very large but not very cosy. The bathroom was small and the towels had a dubious colour. No wifi. For the guests they have an old computer next the reception.Breakfast was very basic, served in a enormous room for two tourists. Paid 30$ for a night. The night receptionist was a good guy but Sunday morning another one had a strange hostility

stayed here four nights before a group tour of Bolivia......a two star hotel in a excellent location,,,paid $28 a night........have elevator, TV in room,,,,,and great hot small shower.....wyfi does not work in my room...........needed to go in the hallway to use it.......surprise it did not work in the hotel lobby either.(they need to spend some money and get better service for the rooms) Even though its COLD at nights,,,no heat in the hotel.....however I asked for a portable heater one night and they gave me one and it worked great.......the towels and sheets are old....(I went out and bought a new towel for myself) ...they need to spend some money and get NEW towels and sheets!.......Light breakfast included........OK for me.nothing special.....Its OK for a low cost budget

Stayed two nights on the end of a tour. Somehow we ended up with a room with 2x double beds and a single (there was two of us...), but all beds were equally rubbish, faded stained sheets, flat pillows and no heating anywhere. We opted not to have the included breakfast either morning as it was uninspiring. On the up side, the owner/manager is lovely, and very helpful.

We stayed here as the last stop on a tour and we were highly disappointed. The rooms are very dated, sheets are from the 1940's and the pillows are filled with some scratchy substance, also didn't have hot water until 10am the next day. The breakfast was pretty shocking too. For the cost of the room, I do not think it is good value.

Ideal location in central La Paz...close to everything. Rooms very spacious, staff polite & breakfast on the wrong side of basic. A very strange layout for a hotel though from the main entrance to reception & into the lifts to go the rooms but don't let that deter you from staying here!
