Both before and after our adventure in the Cordillera Real we stayed at La Posada. We appreciated the accommodating staff who got up in the middle of the night to welcome us and their effectiveness in dealing with our change of plans. Great central location. Cost effective place to stay. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

The photographs made this hostel look good but it Wasn't! That brilliant. However you only get what you pay for and if you want just a little luxury then I would suggest paying a little extra and go elsewhere However you couldn't get a more central location and the buffet breakfast was more than adequate. The young man on reception... More

This hostel is very well located. The rooms are spacious and clean (cleaned everyday). The hostel felt very safe and you can turn in your safeties if you don't want to leave them in the room. The breakfast buffet was fresh and really good. The staff was nice and helpful!

Me and my husband stayed there for 5 days and we liked it a lot. We didn't have scheduled before and apparently we wouldn't be able to stay as long as we wanted as they were full some days, but after a while they offered us one of a "family-only" room (they have two separate rooms that share a bathroom).... We stayed here for 6 nights and loved it. The place is very clean, friendly, central, quiet and has a great breakfast. You really get alot for you money. The best was the owner who was so lovely, helped me with lots of things, even gave me 2 warm jackets because I wasnt prepared for the Bolivian weather ;-) also... More

We stayed two nights here and it was great for exploring la paz! the rooms were comfy, and had a good bathroom. The breakfast was nice and hotel staff very helpful and attentive. The rooms are arranged around central courtyard so it can get quite warm, but it is a lovely environment. Perfect to use as a base for La... More

We stayed here for 1 night only and it was ok just for the night. Personally I think its over prized but I guess you pay for the location which is right in the middle of the whitches market. The room size is ok but very basic decorated. Its clean but not immaculate. There is no window in the rooms... More

The location is perfect. Rooms are clean and basic. The hotel is a little bit old fashioned but well maintained. The breakfast buffet is good and the staff is friendly. The hotel is around a courtyard, the walls are thin and sometimes it can be noisy. In general, a very good value for money in La Paz.

The hotel room is pretty standard and the staff is friendly, but beware that they chain the front door with a huge padlock at night. We tried to leave the hotel around 7:30 AM and there was no one in sight to open the door. It seems that they lock it up and leave it unattended all night. This is... More

A friend and I stayed at this hostal in LaPaz while traveling to/from LaPaz on various adventures. Each time we came back, it just felt like home. We stored most of our luggage there while on short trips. It is very clean, management is very friendly, breakfast is great (including fresh fruits, cheese, meat, cereals, juices, etc.), and it is...
