Two nights off-season in the beautiful seaside city of Punta Del Este, Uruguay. Hotel Aqua was, as expected, fairly empty off-season mid-week. The location is more "town" than "beach" but not a problem with the early autumn winds of Punta howling! Central city location meant, even off-season, there were lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Nothing particularly negative to say... More

It has a great location right in the middle of everything, could use some renovations especially with the carpeting and getting rid of the old fashion keys but it was a nice stay overall considering i didnt really spend that much time there, also the staff was always friendly

The rooms are tiny, the carpet is very old with lots of stains, same for the linens. You have a 14" TV on a shelf that is almost hanging from the ceiling. The bathroom has a less than small shower, very uncomfortable. The door has no extra locks, just the knob that you can twist from the inside. There is... More

Spent 3 days too many over the weekend. Great location - over priced for the lack of quality of experience. The entire building needs a massive make over. Strange smell in lobby, skylight covered up by blue tarp, carpets are so worn and stained, doors and security into rooms were like hollow wood doors. At least they had a safe.... More

From the stained carpets in the hallways and our room, to the threadbare towels and linens (also stained) and the chipped paint on the walls, this hotel is a disgrace. Breakfast was put out in a very unappealing manner and the tables were rarely cleared promptly. On a positive note, the staff (front desk and cleaning) were generally friendly and... More

It's well located, near all the good things in Punta. The staff is helpful and the breakfast is delicious. However, the shower is very very very small, and because of that the bathroom gets all wet and the room may become a mess. Also, I saw two cockroaches while staying there and a weird insect that I didn't recognize. The... More

Spent 4 nights there in November 2011. It is a standard hotel, but the rooms are small. Everything clean. The staff are very nice. Wi-Fi in the lobby, and very simple breakfast. Location is very good. Walking distance to bus station and restaurants, shops, beaches. We were there a bit before the main tourist season (15 December until end February)... More

This hotel is in a good location on the peninsular. Friendly staff, free internet, nice rooms and clean. Not cheap but nothing on the peninsular is during the season.

Not as usually I go to a place I go without arrangements. So in this case I had no choice and went directly to the city centre and as we founded the exterior nice so we came in. The rate published there was OK we decided to stay our former night there. As the room and service were more than... More

I went for a second time to Punta del Este and my friends and I decided to go to this hotel because it was well recomended. The first time I went to Punta del Este I visited all the hotels, and I mean ALL the HOTELS, to find the better one. Aqua looks ok, service is pretty standard. Thay do... More
