After a few days in Buenos Aires, a quick flight to Punta del Este, this small, boutique hotel was beautiful. Right on the beach, not too far from the airport. The restaurant was limited, but the food was good. Room accommodations were average, but clean and great views. Just right for a leisurely get-a-way on the beach. A must stay.

What makes a boutique hotel? The small, cramped rooms? The spartan breakfast? Or do you just have to slap some white canvass covers on low slung couches and have an attitude while charging very high prices? The location here is far away from the center and action, but not secluded or private. The list of minor maintenance issues and repairs... More

This modern hotel is on the Rambla near Av. Espana. It has a car park on the premises which is handy as it is necessary to drive to the main attractions. The hotel fronts the beach which is quite close at high tide. Inside, there are a number of public areas with design décor featuring local woods and sculptures. We... More

Once more, our stay at Serena was perfect. We were in Punta for a long weekend, from November 13 to Nov.17, 2013. It is not a luxury hotel, but it has the elegance of simplicity, in an environment with a minimalist design, in a black and white decoration, with great jazz as musical background. Serena is a small hotel, and... More

We thought the hotel was near restaurants and bars but it is miles from anywhere 6 km from punta del este and not a bar or restaurant in walking distance . The restaurant and beach part are 4 star but our room was like a 1or 2 star hospital . The staff are very nice but does not make up... More

The rooms, except the suites, are very small. However you will stay most of the time around the pool. The music and the service gives you a relax sensation and sometimes you do not wish to leave the hotel for anything.

I was expecting a lot more from the Serena. The staff is very helpful, but the hotel doesn’t deliver on its promise. The lobby and common areas are interesting but rooms lack charm and are very noise. Breakfast quality and offering is poor.

This hotel is one of the few in Punta del Este right on the beach which is nice. It also does not allow children which is a plus. The staff was very nice and uniformly helpful and friendly. The pool is amazing and overlooks the beach. We had dinner and lunch at the restaurant which was very nice and had... More

We originally booked 3 prepaid nights at Casapueblo which is dark and dirty. We had dinner at Serena Hotel and moved to Serena Hotel the next night having to forfeit our prepaid reservation. I am glad we did! The service was excellent, the food was excellent and the beach is beautiful. A very relaxing adult hotel.

I cannot say enough great things about our stay at the Serena Hotel. The staff and customer service were phenomonal. They went out of their way to help. The food was fantastic and the wait staff were incredible. When we arrived, we were upgraded to a suite overlooking the pool and beach. While not all of the rooms appeared to... More
