This is a great hotel if you're looking to relax, it's very quiet and peaceful. The service is great as well; very friendly staff. The location is perfect, but you must have a vehicle to move around. What I didn't like much was that the rooms are very old fashioned, they don't even have LCD TVs. Also, the parking lot... More

We really enjoyed our stay at La Capilla. The hotel is in a lovely residential area and not in the mayhem of "downtown" of Punta del Este. It is a few minutes walk away from the beach and the hotel restaurant and swimming pool is across the street. We really enjoyed the hotel gardens. There were several shops and supermarkets... More

If you come to this hotel make sure you have a car or any mean of transportation. It's a nice and quite area but there are no restaurants, bars or anything at (a reasonable) walking distance. The beach is close, but probably not the one you want to go. Service is inconsistent (some people are great, some you wish not... More

Rooms are very dated, I felt like I was walking into 1978 when we opened the door. Our queen bed was two mattresses pushed together which kept slipping apart. There was no heat and during their winter (Northern summer) we needed it! Rooms were relatively clean, with what appeared to be a little mold in the ceiling. No room service... More

I stayed in La Capilla for a week, during new years' holidays, so the hotel prices were amazingly high! I think the hotel doesn't worth the price, but considering the average hotel prices in Punta at this time of the year, it was a good deal. Our room was at the first floor and it was OK, nothing special at... More

La Capilla is a delightful hotel. I just don’t understand some of the reviews on this site. The hotel has nice grounds, a terrific and fashionable swimming pool area, a quiet and restful location in a beautiful residential neighborhood, and is convenient to a nearby beach and to both La Barra and to central Punta. It is near a taxi... More

What a terrible dump, motel 6 - is a place in comparison with this "4 stars hotel" and the restaurant is a good match to this hotel!

We stayed in this hotel for 1 night and ... it was the worst hotel we ever stayed. We got a room on the first floor and the smell in the room was terrible. I believe it is mildew, or something like it... We asked to for another room and we were offered 2 other rooms, which were not too... More

La Capilla is a great hotel in the San Rafael area of Punta. The staff is very sweet and helpful and the hotel has a very warm feel to it. It is nicely decorated and very clean. It is a short walk to the beach and a 5 min. cab ride to the center of Punta. Overall, I would definately... More

We stayed at La Capilla over New Year's and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was great - at the end of a lovely palm tree lined street which led directly to a great beach in a beautiful residential area - providing the perfect balance to the hubbub of both Punta downtown and La Barra. Both Punta and La Barra... More
