We stayed at L'Auberge for 4 days. The hotel is very charming and "old styled" with great attention to details. Common areas are very well kept. The garden is amazing. Excellent restaurant (don't miss the tea time!) and excellent service. Staff is friendly, welcoming and attentive. To be honest, our classic seaview room located in the beautiful tower can not... Built in the 1940's. Wonderful garden and swimming pool. The owners are always around ready to help and give advice. Confortable rooms, great food and old world class. Unique and special. The hotel and the neighborhood have been preserved from developers. Some of those houses hosted the presidents of Latin America that attended the Intermarican conference that took place in... More

Great room, friendly atmosphere, beautiful neighborhood, near the beach... Dont even get me started on the "dulce the leche" waffle. Ran miles and miles around the hotel... The streets are beautiful and very pleasant to stroll. Punta is a find. Recommend visiting, and l'auberge is an excellent option while going there.

From the moment you walk in the hotel you feel welcome the owner is very kind all of the staff is very accommodating most do you speak English very well. I was there working on the Steps of Love Orphanage Outreach and I had a lot of visitors. We were able to have tea and discuss the needs without any... More

Once again, we stayed at Auberge to take a break from work. The room was most conveniently located, with a full view of the gardens (oh, the roses!). We asked for a desk to be placed in the room, and there it was on the first day of the stay. As there was a convenient time window, we could ask... More

We stayed two nights at L'Auberge. The hotel is located in a residential area about 6 kilometers from the central area of Punta del Este. The staff are very nice and friendly. The hotel has lovely gardens, a relaxing pool area and an inviting tea/dining room. We stayed in the classic room, which is small. although I knew it would... More

Great historical building, nice place to stay in winter in Uruguai! Although it is usually a raining period, you will love to get to the room and warm up in front of chimney. Do not miss 5 o`clock tea with waffles. I dont agree with other reviews - breakfast is exeptional, and yes - dinner and wines are a bit... More

It's a very charming building as you approach the hotel, it's a family run business so it a very laid back environment which is nice. The room are very good expect for an antique kind of smell you get when you enter an antique store, which I didn't really like. The grounds are beautiful and nice place to relax. The... More

Beautiful building with a fine history and delicious breakfast! Try those waffles! It is strange it is a hotel in a city where you go to the beach, since it is so different to those we are used to. They do make you feel at home. Rent a bike and tour around the area, great trip!

Wonderful, welcoming staff who were more than gracious in allowing us to stay in their reception area while we waited for our flight on the day we checked out. The room was absolutely charming and reminded us of previous stays at the Inn at Little Washington and the Clifton Inn--as soon as we stepped into the spacious suite, we felt... More
