Best kept secret in Rincón del Indio. Cozy European style hotel, with great attention to details. Amazing garden views with outdoor swimming pool. Quiet reading place with a fireplace in winter. Don't miss the home-made style waffles. Excellent place for couples looking for a romantic stay.

Back to L'Auberge Nice and very quite location. Warm and comfortable environment. People are very kind and rooms are specially roomy and clean. It has been my standard destination when I'm in Punta and, for the time being I feel it's my best choice

My husband and I stayed for 5 nights. The landscaping and gardens were beautiful and sedate and a perfect place to unwind after the hustle and bustle of Buenos Aires. The staff were wonderful and made several excellent recommendations for restaurants and places to see. You MUST MUST MUST make your way back to the hotel in the afternoon to... More

This one of the hotels I was looking forward to staying in while on our trip to South America . I was not disappointed, the rooms were great (even heated bathroom floors) we had the one over the old garage . Breakfast was nice ,the setting in a leafy suburb felt like Bournemouth UK but with a Latin touch.Beautiful grounds... More

Hotel L'Auberge is a fantastic place to stay in. The grounds were kept in immaculate condition, the rooms had perfect attention to detail and the buildings reminded me of Europe. There is an outdoor swimming pool to relax in, with deck chairs and towels. It is only a short walk to the Atlantic Ocean. We stayed in the tower, the... More

Best waffle ever!! The best place to stay in Punta del Este. Expansive, ok, but worth it. Nice people, perfect staff. It's amazing to take a break and spend some time with your wife/husband and kids. Enjoy.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time at this quaint, cozy, elegant hotel when we traveled to Punta del Este this winter. For the duration of our stay, there was an unexpected and uncharacteristic lighting storm. While our hopes for laying on the beach were dashed, the hotel owner and concierge did an AMAZING job helping us to find... More

We had, as usual, a superb one weekend stay at the best hotel in Punta. The food was excellent, the breakfast with freshly baked scones and unforgettable expressos. The service is invisible, but you know it is always there. Betty, at the reception, is worth a separate word of praise. A real home, away from home.

This is perhaps one of the best boutique hotels I have ever stayed at (along with Llangoed Hall many years ago in Wales). The room we stayed in was beautiful. The grounds are very nice. Beautiful, well-maintained gardens. Short walk to the beach but secluded from traffic. The owners and staff are superb. Breakfasts are excellent as are the lunches.... More

As a regular traveler to Uruguay it is almost a requirement, and certainly a privilege, to visit this family owned hidden gem. The elegant hotel oozes class and character, from the cozy rooms to the beautifully manicured garden with spaced out seating which offers generous opportunity to relax and enjoy the wonderful surroundings. Take a stroll to the beach or... More
