we just confirmed previous experiences in this charming coin of Punta del Este. Marvelous setting with a fall character in the surrounding trees and garden. Drinks to be followed by a superb dinner are a noticeable improvement, with the next generation of owners taking care of every detail to make a very pleasent journey. Rooms extremely comfortable and charming.

Great room, they gave us an upgrade cause it was our anniversary. The staff was very helpful and nice. The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had, simple but perfectly executed. And the afternoon tea is a must, specially if the waffles are been served. I have no complains and I'd certainly return.

The quality of the hotel and the room accommodations is 5-star. Wonderful plush bath towels, lots of amenities and a very attentive staff. The restaurant is oriented toward meat-lovers and there is NOTHING acceptable to a vegetarian. Most restaurants will offer a meatless pasta or veggie side dish, but L'Auberge did not even have green vegetables in their kitchen. They... More

It was the 2nd time at this hotel in many years. Quite a remarkable place indeed. Not cheap but guests must surely return regularly to this utterly charming hotel !We had a superior de luxe room , similar to last time and was fabulous. The service overall was superb in every respect. A place to unwind and relax for sure,... More

To get to L'auberge from Montevideo you drive through the main hub of Punta del Este and continue around 10 mins along the coast. The location is great because the main area of Punta del Este is a bit of a concrete jungle and L'Auberge is located in what feels like a nature reserve. The hotel itself is very pretty... More

Dear Ed23Virages, Thank you for taking the time to review our property. I am glad you liked our hotel, and I hope you and your group had a nice time in Punta. As you well pointed out, the rooms in the tower are small, although they are kept up to date with the new bathrooms, decor and furniture. Some rooms... More

L´Auberge is simply the best hotel in Punta del Este, and we keep on returning, once or twice a year. This time, there was three of us (we two plus mother in law), and we used the hotel facilities more than usual. The swimming pool and the Barbacoa next to it are so inviting! There were families around, parents holding... More

The hotel was lovely, decorated with very good taste. The pool was warm, the food in both restaurants really amazing. But the best was the staff, super friendly and helpful. Very good for a romantic stay but also for a family. All in all it's a great experience to stay there! We'll definitely come back!

We were invited by friends for a waffle, and our kids swam in their swimming pool for half an hour, with our friends that were guests in the hotel. A very indelicate man (probably the owner) complained straight to the kids and asked them out of the pool. We left out, and also our friends that were staying there. Classic... More

We stayed at L'Auberge for 4 days. The hotel is very charming and "old styled" with great attention to details. Common areas are very well kept. The garden is amazing. Excellent restaurant (don't miss the tea time!) and excellent service. Staff is friendly, welcoming and attentive. To be honest, our classic seaview room located in the beautiful tower can not... Built in the 1940's. Wonderful garden and swimming pool. The owners are always around ready to help and give advice. Confortable rooms, great food and old world class. Unique and special. The hotel and the neighborhood have been preserved from developers. Some of those houses hosted the presidents of Latin America that attended the Intermarican conference that took place in... More
