Had an amazing stay at this friendly hostel. As soon as you arrive Diego and the staff are mega friendly and helpful, so you feel right at home. The rooms are clean and there's plenty of bathroom / showers and really fast + free WiFi. The atmosphere is so relaxed and everyone is kind and considerate. If you are a... More

Diego and Marcelo are awesome. Really helpful and friendly. They have homebrew too! The rooms can be tight but in low or shoulder season it's awesome. Plenty of bathrooms and they seemed to be doing some renovations to make it even nicer for next season. Thanks guys!

Let's tick the basic boxes first. This place is centrally located. You'll be 30 seconds walking from a 24h minimart, 1 minute from a sushi place, 3 minutes from the beach, 5 minutes from the Casino. And so on... The staff is superb. I've seen places with more formal staff which were also pleasant, but down there the whole idea... More

I loved my experience at the Trip Hostel. Stayed for 2 nights, including Christmas eve, in a mixed 9 person dorm. The room was cramped, and the climb to the third bunk was no joke, but the energy and vibe at the hostel made up for it and I would definitely stay here again (in fact, I'm already thinking about... I really liked staying there, mostly because of the staff and people. There is a bar in the communal area where people meet at night. I stayed one night in a 4x4 female dorm, which was big enough and comfortable. When it comes to the 12 mixed dorm you should not be too picky with space and height. The room... More

The trip hostel was a nice hostel located not far from the beach in Punta del Este. It has a nice common area where many travelers are and you can meet them easily. The breakfast and cleaningness is ok. The worst thing I found was the rooms themselves, they where small and not very clean.

Had a wonderful stay here- it has a really down-to-earth, homely feel! All the staff are so welcoming and people come in and out as they please. Also, its a 3 minute walk to the one beach and 5 minutes to the bus station. Highly recommended. Thanks in particular to Gonzalo and Marcelo.

The Hostel can be reached in 5-10 min by foot from the bus station, also at night, I would say. It is kept clean and in good shape by the owners, who live there. As for sleep quality, the rooms were basic, there were groups of people coming in and out the dorm at 3 am - party trips to... More

I I just spent two nights at this hostel, but it was enough to want to come back very soon! location is perfect and when you enter the hostel, it's like being in your own home! the whole staff is soooo nice, but Marcelo is more than awesome! I'm sure I will return to Punta del Este and I'll be... More

This review is for the older backpacker crowd that looked at this place for a budget accommodation, but maybe be outside the age bracket for the typical guest that would stay here. We are 35 year old backpackers. We looked at, and then booked, The Trip Hostel due to the budget costs and very positive reviews on many sites. It... More
