For its price its a good hotel. They realy have to do some restyling and make sure to keep doing it right. The room we had was a little small with the bagage we had with us. We had a good laugh that when the cheese and Ham for breakfast was finished the maid went to the supermarket on her... More

Even though the front desk staff were very very friendly and helpful the rooms need some updating. The carpets arent good and overall the room isn't great. Decent location though and would probably be much more expensive if they updated everything :)

The rooms at first glance look pristine with its white walls and white bed spreads. However, the beige carpets were in need of a shampoo with its traffic showing. The shower head in the bathroom broke off, but the staff allowed us to shower in another room. Even that other room had the same worn-looking carpet, and the mirror in... More

The hotel is located a little away from the more bustling areas of the city, but the place is really beautiful and peaceful. I prefer things this way. The hotel is clean and well organized. Even though the room I stayed in was small, the bed size was excellent and the bathroom had everything needed.

The Smalleast hotel is located on the peninsula part of the town and within walking distance of the beaches, port area and main attractions. It is in a quiet neighbourhood opposite a small park and a lighthouse and about 20 minutes walk from the Punta Del Este bus station. We were in Punta Del Este in winter and the town... More

We booked a last minute trip to Punta del Este and didn’t want to spend a fortune. I felt lucky to have been able to book a room at the SmallEast hotel for around $120 US a night. A steal for this area. The front desk staff rotated with a few different guys. All of whom were super nice and... More

My two friends and myself stayed 2 nights at this hotel (in 3 different rooms) and whilst the location is convenient, there is nothing else positive I can say. The rooms varied in size but overall were tiny. The biggest issues were the dirty floors and bathroom, totally unacceptable! When this was highlighted to staff, there seemed to be an... More

This is the second time I stayed here. I find every one of the staff friendly and helpful, including the maids. Rooms are always clean, comfortable. The manager speaks fluent English (for you gringos who appreciate it). If you want top value for your lodging dollar, you can't beat the SmallEast Hotel, right next to the peninsula lighthouse, 3-4 minute... More

Mixed feelings about this strangely-named hotel. The Good - I liked the location on the quiet and low-rise south end of the peninsula, but there are several good restuarants within 10-15 mins walk. Our upstairs room was spacious - a very plush kingsize bed, fancy headrest and nice pillows - the sort of bed you would expect in a 5-star... More
