Impeccable service and such a friendly staff that would do anything for you. I stayed in one of the suites on the top floor and had the most fantastic views of the old city. The room was furnished very authentically and was very comfortable. My friend was staying in a room a couple of floors below, although smaller she enjoyed... more

The Burj al Salam is a very special hotel and a marvellous place to stay when in Sana’a. I just loved this hotel: its position in the beautiful old city (walk out the door and you are there !), the helpful and friendly front desk; the peaceful, cool lobby; the gorgeous rooms; the pleasant eating areas downstairs and the lovely... more

Stayed here before the start of my tour in November and again at the end in December. The house is in Old Sanaa - having gone up to the Sheraton and Moevenpick for drinks, staying in the Old Town is far more atmospheric. The rooms are beautifully restored, although the noise from the hallway does filter into the rooms, as... more

Sana'a is something impossible to be described. The hotel represents all this extrordinary character, giving its guests all the comfort they wish (and need). +++++ A special thank to Ms Soraya, absolutely unique in kindness, efficiency and more more over! more

The hotel is situated in the heart of the old center and has been built slowly and precisely to match the architectural style. I was amazed, you feel warped back in time, and the calm and quietness is phenomal. For example, all rooms have custom designed furniture which looks so spectacular that you are almost afraid to desecrate by touching... more

We stayed in Burj Al Salam Hotel for four nights in March 2009. The hotel is cenrally located, just in the heart of Sanaa old city. Very nice, friendly and professional staff. The room (junior suite called Terim) was charming: spacious, with a terrific view to the old Sanaa city, stylishly decorated. Breakfast was very good with a wide choice... more

I stayed in the hotel for a week and made various day trips, which were organized by a travel agency. A helpful person from the travel agency is located in the hotel. The hotel has very friendly and competent staff. My room was very clean, quiet and also had a safe and minibar. Prices are on the higher end, I... more

I stayed in July as a weekend break from the heat of Dubai. One great thing about Sana'a for those of you suffering through the Dubai heat is how cool it is (43C in Dubai and 25C in Sana'a), so dont be afraid to go in the Summer. The Burj al Salam is a real Oasis in such a central... more

We were staying at the Arabia Felix Hotel and we were taken to Burj al Salam by a Yemeni friend for lunch at the restaurant terrace on the top floor. The hotel, which is run by Italians, is very stylish and the atmosphere very relaxing. The view from the top floor is amazing and you can have delicious Italian style... more

Had a wonderful four-night stay at the Burj Al Salam in March 2008. The location of the hotel absolutely can't be beat - right in the heart of Old Sana'a, comfortable walking distance to the Bab al Yemen and the shopping areas. The rooftop terrace provides a birds-eye view of the old city which will allow for some excellent photographs.... more
