I could get a room on the 6th floor so the view from my room was already fantastic. But the view from the room top is narurally much more splendid. So everybody can enjyo the view ! Room was also clean and comfortable. Shower room and toilet woks also well. Wifi is available. Every staff is very helpful. The area... more

This hotel is not easy to find in the old quarter and even taxi drivers have problems..but once you enter you are immediately in a different world. The bedrooms are charming and very comfortable and each room has a private shower. Breakfast is fine but the food in the restaurant at the top is excellent. Everyone is so helpful, from... more

Stayed at this hotel for 4 days. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean with TV and fridge but the bathroom was very small. Hot water, hair dryer available in room. Located within the Old City and 5 mins. walk to the souk. Good rooftop restaurant with hotel prices. Hotel itself is quiet, but it is located between... more

I stayed in Burj during the end of Ramadan and Eid Mubarek. The old town is truly authentic and has medieval charm. The Burj staff are welcoming, energetic and knowledgeable. There is a private security guard although I felt the old town incredibly welcoming and safe. The shower was average, that said, I used the local Hamam each afternoon which... more

At first the hotel may seem pricey for Yemeni standards, and it may well be, however it really makes up for it on location, right in the middle of Old Sanaa and having spacious rooms (though I stayed at a suite) with all the traditional feel of old Yemen (colored glass, traditional locks) but modern day amenities. The views from... more

Impeccable service and such a friendly staff that would do anything for you. I stayed in one of the suites on the top floor and had the most fantastic views of the old city. The room was furnished very authentically and was very comfortable. My friend was staying in a room a couple of floors below, although smaller she enjoyed... more

The Burj al Salam is a very special hotel and a marvellous place to stay when in Sana’a. I just loved this hotel: its position in the beautiful old city (walk out the door and you are there !), the helpful and friendly front desk; the peaceful, cool lobby; the gorgeous rooms; the pleasant eating areas downstairs and the lovely... more

Stayed here before the start of my tour in November and again at the end in December. The house is in Old Sanaa - having gone up to the Sheraton and Moevenpick for drinks, staying in the Old Town is far more atmospheric. The rooms are beautifully restored, although the noise from the hallway does filter into the rooms, as... more

Sana'a is something impossible to be described. The hotel represents all this extrordinary character, giving its guests all the comfort they wish (and need). +++++ A special thank to Ms Soraya, absolutely unique in kindness, efficiency and more more over! more
