The location of this hotel, like everyone else has said, is in the middle of nowhere (250km out of the centre of Abu Dhabi) with nothing around for miles when you step out of the hotel. We stayed for four nights, and were pretty relaxed throughtout. Food was good, child freindly menus. Our son (two at the time) had no activities but was happy playing in the sand and the kids pool. The hotel is some 2 hour drive from Abu Dhabi with nothing but desert en route. The hotel and especially the staff were excellent throughout our stay. This is on of the most beautiful hotels i've ever stayed in, great hospitality, quick service at check in and out.
