We were there for a workshop which was organised in the hotel.It had a lovely ambience with a good swimming pool and kids pool.Other sports facilities included badminton ,squash and tennis.The hotel also had a mini zoo . We spent six nights at this hotel on our first visit to Abu Dhabi. Chose it because hotels closer to the city centre are so ridiculously expensive that we looked for an alternative. I have never ever stayed in such an awful hotel or experienced such low standards. For a cost of almost 300 British Pounds (600 US Dollars) for the night, I received a room without ANY running water, a scorched carpet that looked like it had been set on fire and the most terrible smell of damp I have ever experienced.... more

We ended up here by default after being fog bound in Abu Dhabi en route to Malaysia. 15 mins from the airport, large clean room, good service. If you need an airport stopover you can do no better than the Mufraq. It's 15 minutes by taxi from Abu Dhabi Airport. The rooms are very large and comfortable with all the amenities you need.
