Booked to stay there purely due to the brand name and the reality was - A good name does not make a good hotel. First off, the staff seemed to have the idea that guests are stupid and they can make lame excuses to make the complaining guest go away. First morning during breakfast, there were 2 waiters against 10... more

An old looking hotel with old decor rooms. Very good food options; lot of restaurants in fact a full food court. Very disappointing TV sets in the room and old carpets in the lobby and passages more

Dear Vikaschadha, This year our hotel celebrates 30 years of continued success; hence the style is more classic than the more modern hotels which opened in the area in the recent years. We are glad you mentioned our great asset which is our Méridien Village, celebrating world famous cuisines packed in 14 restaurants and bars varying from Italian, Thai, French...

We just had a great weekend stay at Le Meridien. We were 10 ladies on a girls' weekend arriving on a Friday morning and leaving on Sunday. We arrived very early on the Friday and the staff were very accommodating with regard to storing our luggage until we could check in and then let us check in early a little... more

I didn't actually stay here, so i'm not rating the hotel, but one of the restuants there...Chi Chis...went there last evening with a friend of mine. I had booked a table the day before, as I thought Friday evening might be busy. Well, when we got there, there was hardly anyone there, until about an hour later. When we did... more

Dear travelbugAbuDhabi, What a sad experience, we are very sorry to read about all the trouble you went through in one evening. We do appreciate your starting off your comment ‘not rating the hotel but the restaurant’. We will certainly pass on the comments to the management of Chi Chi’s which is an outsourced restaurant in the village. The restaurant...

I stayed in Meridien Abu Dhabi for 3 nights during November 2008. It was quite OK, pleasant and decent. Staff was very friendly and I was really refreshed from my stay there more

Management response from

Dear Pekard: We are very pleased to read that your stay with us was relaxing and enjoyable. November is a great month to visit Abu Dhabi, humidity is low and outdoor activities are pleasant, very suitable for our Méridien Village outdoor dining areas. We look forward to welcoming you again at Le Meridien Abu Dhabi. With kind regards, Dania Malki...

I had a graet misfortune to stay in Le Meridian in Abu Dhabi only this week. The hotel is one of the most depressing hotels I have ever stayed in. It is gloomy, old fashion, not very clean room for all that and the room 580 overlooks what they would describe as a seeview?! Yes, you do see a see,... more

Dear Koka1, We regret to read about your sad experience during your stay with us at Le Méridien Abu Dhabi. One of the first international hotels to open in the capital, Le Méridien opened in 1979 hence the style is less modern which other guests find cozy and homey. However we have undergone refurbishment in all of our rooms and...

We stayed at the Hilton International for the six nights of this break in Abu Dhabi and then we moved for the last three nights to Le Meridien because there was a three nights for the price of two offer. This hotel is also being demolished in a couple of years and it needs to be. On the whole the... more

The room was large and bed comfortable. Hotel is old but has been refurbished with quality fittings. Breakfast was included. Somewhat overpriced but then everything is in Abu Dhabi. more
