One of the oldest hotel in damascus. Clean large rooms. Very helpful staff. Nice breakfast. City center. Close to markets restaurants and cafes. Quiet lounge with beautiful decor. There is a very good chineese restaurant. On top there is a syrian restaurant where it rotates and u can have an amazing view of damascus

It's old but working. Convenient. Anong the many of its restaurants, French revolving restaurant and Chinese are still open and offer relatively good food and alcohol. Brreakfast is available only through room service. It's in the middle of business center. You can find various shops around the hotel.

Despite the turmoil raging in this lovely country the Cham Palace is an oasis in this once fine city. Everything works. Elevators are fast, room service and food is good, revolving restaurant on 15th floor is good. Staff are simply excellent. Wifi (payable) is good. Rooms are very good, spacious and clean. Beds are comfortable and bathrooms are roomy. I... More

Back after 21 years and the old Cham hasn't changed much. There's other hotels in Damas much more expensive but if you know the various "rates" you can still get a good deal. Don't expect ferns and fans in this place and if you don't mind saggy beds, the odd bug and yella yella should you be foolish enough to... More

Very expensive, below standard 5 stars hotel, very poor breakfast I could do better than... More

Cham Palace Hotel is a good alternative for a hotel in Damascus. It is centrally located with a traditional flavor that other big hotels in Damascus lack. The lobby - reception area is really great - oriental traditional and also very refreshing. The rooms are very clean but pretty small. Services are also very good.

The hotel was decorated typically Syrian specially the lobby, it was nice and interesting.Comparing with most of the hotels in Syria that are not standard, Cham Palace is rather acceptable & standard. some rooms are too small. the receptionist told us that the swimming pool is private for women before midnight, but it was not true.

Stayed for a total of four nights on two separate occasions during my tour of Damascus. - Very good location within walking distance from old town, four seasons hotel and nice restaurants - Decor is early 80's meets retirement home meets fake gold meets over grown green house - Bathrooms old and worn, shower filled up every time it was...
