The hotel is located in the best area at Old Damascus. It's surrounded with very nice attractions such as (Bab Touma, Hannania Church, Bab Sharqi...etc) Staff are very nice and helpful. Cleanliness is great and room facilities are great. Unfortunately the current situation in Syria made this hotel empty and only few visitors were there. The house and the open... More

This hotel is awesome - beginning with the beautiful courtyards, the well appointed rooms, wonderful food and ending with the most attentive and courteous staff. Well located, with a distinct local flavor at it's best! Not to be missed!

We stayed here two nights after an earlier stay at a different hotel in Damascus and a 3-night trip outside the city. It was comfortable and well located for sightseeing in the old city. The staff was attentive and arranged a reliable car to take us to the airport at 3:00 a.m. Room was a bit dim for reading, but... More

Loved this hotel and loved Damascus. Only visited for 3 days with 2 nights spent at the Beit Al Wali Hotel. Very central located in the Old City within easy walking distance of all the main attractions. It truly is a beautiful hotel, staff very attentive, lovely breakfast and mahoosive bed in the room. Not sure about the canaries making... More

A small hotel (about 20 rooms) located in the Christian quarter of old Damascus. The service was exemplary, with a staff working impeccably as a team and very focused upon making the stay a very enjoyable experience. The building itself is an old Damascene house, with several linked courtyards, beautifully appointed. The room we had was excellent, fronting onto the... More

The location is perfect as it is within a walking distance from the most important sightseeing in Damascus + the popular market (Hamedeya)+ the best restaurants in town. As for the staff, it was incredibly nice, welcoming, always smiling, helpful & professional. Once you get in the "lobby" which is an open area near an old fountain, the waiter comes... More

Don't even think of rushing breakfast before you dash off for sightseeing and shopping. At Beit Al Wali, the F&B manager and Ahed the waiter will ply you with Syrian specialities, bring you a second cup of coffee the way you like it, deliver a dessert that will go so well with the rose petal marmalade, and make up a... As an Independent Travel Operator specialising in the Middle East and North Africa, we know Damascus well. Of all of the places anywhere in the world I've stayed in, I've never experienced service like at the Beit Al Wali. It's SO far beyond anything I've ever had before and having stayed at uber luxurious resorts (we'd just come from the... More

Beyond any doubt the details make the difference! From the check in to check out, everything is perfect in this beautiful hotel. Situated in the Old City, next to the main attractions, enchantment begins when one cross the front door. The atmosphere lead to the 1001 nights, in a 18th century house, with courtyards, indoor fountains and fine furniture. The... More
