This is a great hotel where you can find everything you need. First of all it is situated in downtown Damascus (old city) where the main historic and tourist area is. Secondly, the stuff is very helpful and they do their best to make your stay nice and pleasant. And of course I should mention it's beautiful courtyard. You can... More

Must stress that we did not stay here during a recent 2 week visit to Syria (which we love , and incidentally saw no trouble at all) We were walking and actually got lost in the old town and couldn't find our way back to the Souk and Straight Street. Called in here to ask for directions, the owner Ahmed... More

Stayed here for a total of 6 nights, broken up by a side trip to into the desert. Great accommodation, run by a kind owner and considerate staff who took anticipated every need. Sah al Naum means "go to sleep" in Arabic...and indeed you will sleep well here, away from the noise of traffic.

We arranged for them to pick us up from the airport and, true to their word, our driver was waiting for us on time. Our welcome was friendly and helpful and we... More

The staff were charming and helpful bringing tea and coffee. There was even a musical night with a whirling dervish which was a fantastic evening... More

This is a beautiful hotel for many reasons: 1. Location: the hotel is located in the heart of old Damascus. It is close to every important site of Damascus, central to many attarctions. It is within walking distance to so many attractions. 2. The hotel is an old house of Damascus. Touring Damascus gave me the feeling that this city... More
