I had the unfortunate pleasure to stay at Grand Regency (GR) for a whole 4 days and in summary, this is NOT a 5 stars hotel as it claims to be, as: 01) Decor are all outdated and OLD (unless you like gold and heavy curvy wood carvings); 02) Furniture are scratched (on bench tops) and chipped (on corners); 03)... more

Spent a few days at this hotel and was generally very satisfied. It was very cheap (most likely due to being the off season). I wouldn't say it is a five star hotel, more like four stars. Some notes: - when I was there (June 2009) pool and health club were not quite done yet (but should be done soon).... more

Good service from check-in staff. but had to wait 10 minutes for room to be 'ready'. Was offered fresh mango juice while waiting. Room was good. Clean and comfortable bed. Flat screen TV. Huge welcome fruit basket and complimentary bottled water. Bathroom amenities were above average. Unfortunately we were on the 2nd floor facing the front of the hotel and... more

We spent three nights at this hotel in December, 2008. At that time, we were paying more than $500 USD a night for a room that had intermittent hot and cold water, reeked of cigarette smoke, and had miserable dining options. The food at the hotel was uniformly bad. Internet was $38 USD per day in the rooms. Taxi anywhere... more

This hotel is no way a 5 star hotel. The rooms are dated and not the cleanest either. The aircondition in my room was so noisy that I did not manage to sleep properly and the TV channel choice is a joke. The food choice in the "Grand Dining" restaurant was poor and the restaurant itself looks like a waiting... more

I stayed here for one night during a recent getaway. The hotel looked cozy, unfortunately there were three problems that made this hotel unfavourable when compared with other similar class hotels like Ramada, which I also stayed in another occasion. Firstly, the hotel's location was not ideal. The hotel building was just next to a roundabout so it was noisy... more
