Lovely hotel. Lovely location. Best staff quality. Marketed as a 5 star hotel but would personally rate it at 4 stars as it is missing a bit of finnesse and attention to detail... Big rooms but a bit badly designed. Facilities lovely but a bit outdated. TV channels are limited and a strange choice. Love the coffee and tea facilities... More

This isn't really a boutique hotel but it is well placed next to the lovely souq. But there is building just next door, all night, so a good nights sleep is not assured. A small thing, they didn't give the wifi token, which they should do automatically.

The Souk Waqif is arguably the liveliest place in the whole of Doha, with different shops selling all kinds of stuff from spices to household to jewellery. Dotting the Souk are various cafés and restaurants. In the Souk Waqif are 9 boutique hotels, all with their own unique style and decor. The Al Mirqab is in my view, one of... More

A great place right in the bustling Souq Waqif area. Stayed there for 3 days on a business trip but since it was the first visit to Doha it's a great location for tourists as well. Enjoy the terrace on the entrance with great sheesha. Rooms are excellent as well with a good size and very comfortable bedding. Sometimes due... More

What a disappointing stay, to say the least. I was checked into a lovely room, by very kind and professional staff ... but this is where the positives end. From the moment I entered the room until check out time, I experienced mind-numbing, unbearable construction noise from right outside the room. There is some excavating going on and it's 24/7... I spent few days in the Souq Waqif Boutique Hotel Al Mirqab and I had a very positive impression. The rooms are very comfortable, the service is faultless and the breakfast rich and inviting. The personnel is very professional and I want to thank the concierge Bassam who has always been very kind and helpful and very professional Amira Sghaier... More

I was actually booked at the sister hotel (Al Bidda) but because they were overbooked I was upgraded to Al Mirqab. I arrived early and while waiting for my room was treated to both traditional Arabian cofee (with dates) and a nice fruit cocktail as well as given the wifi settings. First impressions were good! It was difficult to get... More

Lovely hotel, clean and decent rooms. Only problem is noise. Throughout the day there is drilling from nearby construction and in the evening there is a band on the terrace which plays till 11pm. It is loud in every room of the hotel and is too loud. I have never complained about noise before so this shows how strongly I... More

I was there with my friends we had a great time.. The rooms are will furnished.. .. The breakfast was good.. The location wow .. Surrounded by cafes ,restaurants ,old shops, many activities , you can feel the spirit of the past .. Just walk in the old passage the narrow roads.. You will find something to do or to like..

Staying here was truly pleasureable. Reception, particularly Mohamed Fathy, Alle and the very nice lady on afternoons, were delightful and very helpful. You felt welcomed by their genuine interests in helping you manipulate the city. The staff was extremely professional and helpful, for the most part. Some, a bit indifferent and less friendly. The room was meticously dealt with by... More
