To all travelers who stayed or planning to stay at this hotel, Le Grand Hotel is no longer in business. They closed it down sometime around September 2012. It is now occupied by Almuftah English Modern School staff.

I 've been there by stopover for the purpose of connection of Qatar airways and it made me a really Terribly Transfer.

My wife and I were booked into Le Grand (that's a misnomer) Hotel by our employer in Doha. They selected this hotel because our permanent accomodations were not quite ready for us, and Le Grand claims to have "well equipped" kitchens in each room. Clean budget hotel but dont except too much though as you wont be blown away with the hotel as i rather call it service apartments, the reception lady is better than the guy, the rooms are not sound proof, free wifi connection in the living room only, breakfast buffet is very simple, small tv tube box in every aoartments with... We recently selected this hotel for part of a business trip, enticed by the location and a special price in a city fast becoming really expensive. The clue should have been in the over-the-top reviews. This is one of the most unwelcoming hotels I have ever used and apart from the location (although most people have never heard of it)... More
