The designers went a bit overboard with the gold in this hotel. It is very OTT and gaudy. Stained glass, tents, things that belong in a vegas hotel. We only stayed one night. The service was good, and the breakfast was excellent. The rooms clean and refurbished, but nothing to write home about. more

I recently stayed here on a 3 day trip for business, my room was on the 1st floor very close to the dining area and the pool. I was delighted with the room, very spacious and very clean with it's own balcony. The food was very ggod, a rage of venues to eat with a variety to please all. Overall... more

Stayed here on 2 separate occasions as holiday makers rather than on business. Had rooms on ground and 3rd floor, 3rd floor was better with view of pool, but both had large and spotless bathrooms, and were well appointed. Pool area is great, and there is a nice green area above the beach if you want to get sun later... more

The Grand Hyatt is an absolutely beautiful, comfortable hotel with easy access to the public beach. The rooms are well-appointed with comfortable beds, and many have balconies. The muliple pools provide great relief from the hot sun, and with the swim-up bar, you'd think you were in the Caribbean. We arrived Friday afternoon during the end of Friday brunch and... more

the grand hyatt muscat is absolutly amazing. the atmosphere is very impressive. overall it was a very comfortable and relaxing stay, even while having meetings. as there are a lot of events and lunch parties taken place, the hotel is always very busy and maybe not very suitable to have a rest. the pool area is most of the time... more

We stayed there 5 days on a trip through Oman. Like the style of it, or not : it is very impressive, wery well looked after. Very helpful staff. The rooms were spacious, with a gorgeous bathroom. There is a parking lot. Breakfast buffet is very good, dinner is very good (we tried its different restaurants but fell for it's... more

Grand Hyatt, muscat, wow this is a classic hotel. Have labeled my trip from July 08 however I lived in muscat for 3 years and found Hyatt to be my sanctuary. I was a member so got things a lot cheaper, 50% of meals, and a free night stay, free use of pool (which is stunning to be honest). Great... more

I stayed at the Grand Hyatt Muscat for two months in 2007 and was impressed by it's grandeur, but was quickly astounded by the price of some of their meals. The lobby, enormous window looking out onto the pool and ocean, and ornate details are exceptional. However the pricey buffets are to be tried once, but not returned too very... more

The grand hyatt muscat is a great hotel. Everything about it underlines the luxury brand for which Hyatt is known. I was fortunate enough to stay in a Grand Suite, which was extreamly spacious and well equiped. The furnishing is of a high quality and a big fluffy duvet and pillows aid a good nights sleep. There is lounge, bedroom... more

We've stayed here around 5 times now. We love it. Each time we've had different rooms and they've all been the same excellent standard. Room service is great, the pool is great and the staff and service are top notch. Our only gripe is that it is expensive, but there is a shortage of hotels in the Muscat area, this... more
