This hotel was shown as 5 stars on the entrance when I arrived. How this hotel even gets a 3 star rating is beyond me. The hotel is old and outdated and urgently needs investment in all areas. The service was 90% of the time unfriendly at the front desk. Food was basic and without any type of presentation. The... More

I had stayed for a week on a business trip. Rooms are large and clean. bit dated though. Bathroom is small but neat. No tubs considering this is an all suite hotel! Shower is ok. Limited options in Breakfast buffet. Tried Indian Restaurant which is attached to this hotel. Food was ok but pricy. Nice location to walk-around. Free Wifi... More

A lovely hotel in down town of Beirut. Excellent hotel, place, service, staff..etc. I was lucky to see 2 famous TV stars on the day I arrived, they were residing at the same hotel. The hotel is very close to Nejma square and lovely coffee shops.

The hotel is situated in the heart of down town, easy to go around on foot. Rooms very large, clean and really very comfortable beds. Very good value for money, considering that Beirut hotels are expencive. Poor internet access, and absence of non smoking policy in the lobby.

Extremely courteous staff from the moment you arrive, nothing is too much trouble. Elegant and comfortable reception and large suite with clean bathroom, sitting area, basket of fruit on arrival – a very nice welcome. Most comfortable bed in any hotel for a long time !! Meals are served in restaurant which is Punjabi themed “Cuisine” called Jaipur for which... More

The staff tries very hard, but it is difficult to cover up that there has been little or no maintenance for years. Faucets leak, showers leak more than spray, rugs (ugh), lighting in bathroom is poor, internet ranges from poor to non-existent. The hotel restaurant is Indian, which is a bit bizarre. Since it is almost always empty at night... More

I stayed at the Markazia Monroe for 4 nights and will certainly return on my next visit to Beirut. When I arrived I was upgraded from a junior to a terrace suite. I had a lot of work to do during the evenings so the extra space afforded to me was greatly appreciated. The front desk staff were all incredibly... More

Located at the edge of the downtown area of Beirut, the Monroe suites are within walking distance of major attractions such as the mosque and the souks as well as very close to a huge amount of restaurants. Guest rooms are very spacious - there is a sitting room area, a small dining table and a small kitchenette area which... More

I stayed here for 5 nights whilst visiting a friend in Beirut who also stayed at the hote with me. I booked the one bedroom suite which had a large living area, separate kitchenette and dining area. The rooms were extremely spacious and clean. The only problem in the kitchenette was there was no dishes or cutlery apart from 2... More

I have used this hotel twice in the past 3 months, each time staying for just over a week and I have been satisfied with the room and the service. The views aren't great (a road to the south and car park to the north). The staff are attentive and friendly the breakfast is a let down.
