Before I found an apartment, I stayed a couple of nights in Hotel Alexandre. And "basic" was the first word that came to my mind. All was there and clean (and everything worked) but all "basic". Sand-brown was the overall colour and it was depressing. My room was very small but the bed was OK. Desk was also very small... More

I work for a humanitarian agency and find the Alexandre to meet my needs. It's clean, comfy, and has faster wifi in the rooms than other hotels I've stayed at in Beirut. Yes, some of the furniture is tired, the rooms and bathrooms could be larger, but I enjoy it. I agree with the more recent reviewers that staff is... More

Very good hotel. Good location. Good staff. Nice rooms. Not very expensive. Nice restaurant. Very welcoming. Perfect also for business trips. It deserves its FOUR stars. It is really good. It shouldn't get any bad reviews.

As a 3 star hotel it is not bad. Clean, friendly, helpful staff. Located in Ashrafia, and it's quite condensed district, so not easy or quick to get to, although fairly quick if coming from airport. If you are in Beirut for medical reasons, the best locaton to French Hospital - literary 5 min walk. It's a good hotel if... More

Even with the make over/redecoration the rooms are very small!! Not to mention the bathrooms are smaller then my car's backseat! But it's clean and tidy. The room service and hotel staff are great and the location is perfect! But they should reconsider the prices

Honestly the hotel Alexandre is not such a bad hotel, the room is wide, let's say normally sized. You have a good bathroom, even the shower is or hot or warm depending on the button you will turn, but it is clean, you have shampoo, even toothbrush, air cooler, flat tv. The furniture seems to have been created in the... More

Room size is average and well equipped with satellite TV but only 35 channels and 4 not functioning, bathrooms are nice and clean and equipped with hair dryers that are noisy. Breakfast is not included and is basic, al-a-carte is available and expensive for what you get, there are conference rooms for large or small functions and a business centre... More

The room was clean and tidy, but small, in a quiet location (10 min by cab to the city center). The hotel is in urgent need of renovation! The furniture are old and look really used making it hard to believe that this is a 4-star hotel. The breakfast costs around $15 and is totally not worth it. The bread... More

The location of the hotel is handy for the airport road but not much use for wandering out to see interesting places. The main tourist areas are a taxi ride away. The rooms were a little faded and the breakfast was nothing special to a UK palate, but the rooms were comfortable enough and the place was clean and staff... More
