Since the rooms have been refurbished it has been transformed. Clean comfortable beds but rooms a bit small (as you might expect in a capital city). A great buffet breakfast in the restaurant. Wifi is non-existent at the top of the hotel (but it is great by the reception desk!).

With G. Green and/or journalists/reporters staying here during the civil war and which makes a breath of history this hotel is what you need in such a city as Beirut. Nonetheless, it offers a very good location (Hamra district) close to AUB, Corniche and not so far from Downtown and good breakfast for reasonable price (for Beirut).

My 4th visit to lebanon and my 3rd stay at the Mayflower. I noticed an improvement in the staff friendlyness. This was an area mentioned in previous reviews that needed improvment.
