The location of this hotel is very good in central Hamra but not on busy Hamra street, there is a lot of shops, cafés and restaurant in walking distance. The hotel itself is a little worn down but the room was clean and the staff friendly. All the room has balconies, but they are small and the street is narrow... More

The rooms were clean, with nice large windows. The breakfast was plentiful and varied. The staff were very thoughtful and helpful. The location is wonderful, two blocks away from the very popular Hamra Street. It is very close to the AUB campus and Corniche, where we rented bikes and rode along the water. This hotel was a great budget option,... More

For our first stay in Beirut we found this a good place to stay, most taxi drivers knew where it was, its walking distance to a lot of nice restaurants and bars, the staff were really helpful and friendly, our room was spacious but the hotel itself is very old and tired looking... it is kind of charming in a... Clean rooms, helpfull staff, ok wi-fi. Breakfast is plentiful, good and a bit funny, with a bit of english breakfast (beans, sausages, scrambled eggs) and a bit of lebanese breakfast (labneh, mint, tomatoes). There is also milk and three sorts of cereals as well as a nice fruit sallad. In Hamra it's definetely worth choosing a hotel with breakfast included.... More

Comfortable basic rooms in Hamra. Ideal location for local attractions - walking distance to Hamra shopping, bars and food - as well as to the Corniche too. Clean with a decent balcony. Good breakfast and bar. Very good value.

Helpful and friendly staff but the room was very dirty (stained carpets, blood stains on pillowcase and strangely dirty curtains). Despite not being on the very busy Hamra Street, the street noise was still very disruptive throughout the night. Laundrette, internet cafe and local food stalls/shops all very close so a good base if staying for a while.

Very cozy hotel in the middle of Hamra, just a few blocks from AUB. Staff are super friendly and helpful in arranging excursions around Lebanon, including to Baalbek. Rooms are above adequate and very clean. The Mayflower has a distinctly British vibe to it, not only because of the pub in the lobby.

This is a nice charming old hotel in Beirut. If you are not looking for something fancy and over the top, this is the hotel for you. And if you are looking for a nice lobby where you can hang out or have some drinks at a local pub, I recommend you visit The Duke Of Wellington in the lobby.

We stayed in a triple room in this hotel. I feel perhaps other rooms in hotel are nicer but there were three of us travelling and we got three single beds which was good. But the room decor was a little behind the times. Friendly service, good breakfast and excellent location. Plus free wifi is always a bonus. Comfortable hotel,... More
