I travel to Beirut every summer to visit family. This year I tried the Hotel Albergo. The overview, in American terms, is that this hotel offers Four Seasons service, Sheraton quality rooms, and Westin prices. I certainly would not classify this as a "trendy" hotel, but it doesn't try to be that. Here is how the hotels where I've stayed... more

We were very happy with this hotel. We were offered a discounted rate and also given an up grade on arrival - so no complaints from us. We were in two minds about this hotel before booking, given some of the reviews on this site. Having now stayed there, there is some truth in those comments and if we had... more

The Albergo is a wonderful and creative way to remind all of us about the unique capacity of the Lebanese friends, to create an atmosphere "de bon gout" and "joie de vivre" Fantastic view and food for everyone. The change is medecine for the soul Tbaks for the Albergo and for the lovely staff!! more

We are at a loss to know where this hotel's reputation as one of the best in Beirut comes from. Every day brought more frustration and disappointment of the sort one does not expect from a FIVE STAR establishment under Relais & Chateaux: towels removed but not replaced; shampoo/shower gel not replaced; no reply from "housekeeping" after hanging on the... more

Stayed here for my honeymoon, in February. Top notch boutique hotel, in a nicely restored old building. Location is pretty good also. I just thought the price was a tad too high, specially the breakfast items. more

Superb boutique hotel in the heart of Beirut. Rooms are well appointed, staff are very attentive and you have a real sense of history in this period property. The location lends itself to many bars and restaurants. In comparison to the concrete structures that make up most hotels in Beirut, this hotel is really the only place to stay. more

We stayed here for a few days of our honeymoon. My husband & I usually like minimalist decor but we enjoyed the plush furnishing full of antiques. It is slightly quirky but done with good taste. I would say its very French. The service is excellent and the rooftop bar/restaurant is not to be missed though its not a young... more

This is an amazing hotel in a great area of Beirut near the historic and recently renovated Rue Monot where the best bars, clubs and restaurant are located. The suite I had was beautiful, and the service, well, I have never been pampered like this before in my life. I will definitely return to Beirut and stay at the Albergo! more

We stayed here for 4 nights and it was fantastic. The little touches of fresh friut every day and fantastic service made it a joy to stay at. They had some repairs being carried out when we were there and without hesitation moved us to a supierior suite to avoid the noise. The pool is small but refreshing after a... more
