That is the only thing positive about the hotel is its location - near the Rouche Rocks and it is convenient to walk and explore the city. Didn't really like the breakfast although it was supposed to be one of the better ones in the area. Our check-in took a long time and the counter staff wasn't very friendly. We... more

The Safir hotel is a 4 star hotel situated in the beautiful Rouche area, about 50 meters away from the Rouche Rocks. The rooms are clean although it could be cleaner. The beds are comfortable. Internet is not free and could set you back around 10$ an hour. The bathroom is clean and looks outdated a bit. The towels are... more

Clean and good location BUT: No international news channels (no Al Jazeera English, no BBC, no CNN, etc). Very poor yet expensive internet service. Add 20 USD to the price of the room for WIRE internet. NO WIRELESS. It's worth to upgrade your hotel by that much if your want ready to use, up-and-running internet wifi, attention in fitness center... more

A couple of other reviewers have used the word "nice" to describe the Safir Heliopolitan and they're correct. Its comfortable, the breakfast choice is extensive and there's a a lady making fresh manakesh to order - yum! Its located 5 minutes walk to the Corniche and has views of Pigeon Rocks from many of the rooms. The hotel staff are... more

I started not trusting Hotel websites after visiting the Safir heliopolitan, I mean it was a bit too much exaggerated with the pic's and huge lobby. We reached the hotel..I was surprised with the size of the lobby, when I remember I saw it larger on the website (Its amazing what photoshop does!), other than that the check-in was smooth... more

I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights recently. I had a room on the 11th floor with a partial view of the Mediterranean. The reception staff especially Wassim were very friendly and professional with quick check-in procedures. The room was modern with a nice view and a medium-sized, well equipped bathroom. The free coffee and tea making facilties were... more

This is not one of the usual chain hotels that dominate most cities and is only a few years old. Staff are always friendly and the location is excellent. Being opposite Raouche Rock it is a great location from which to stroll the promenade and there are many bars and restaurants close by. I have stayed here on business more... more

I've tried many hotels in Lebanon, specifically the 5-star ones. However, I kept seeing these adverts for Safir Heliopolitan which promised a little something extra - but I didn't know what. So, I tried it. And I am lost for words! I don't think I could go anywhere else again. It's not just the actual hotel, which is very beautifully... more
