The InterCon Vendome is the smaller sister of the Phonecia in Beirut. With a much more intimate boutique feel to it, I would rate the service here probably among my top ten experiences ever. From the quick check-in to the knowledgeable concierge to the super-attentive waiters at the well-known restaurant/bar on the top floor, Sydney's, this was service heaven. And... more

I recently stayed at the Vendome in Beirut and really enjoyed it. The rooms are very elegant, and the huge LCD screen almost seduced me away from the view of the Med crashing into the cliffs below. Sydneys is a great place to have breakfast with a wonderful view. I didn't try the French restaurant but I heard good things... more
