The hostel is cheap and even cheaper if you stay long term to do one of the Arabic language courses. It isn't too far from the city centre, the awful souks and the life saving corniche. It is a clean hostel but run down, the Nazih family only lease the building and work hard with the cafe and entertainment side... More

Nice area- easy to reach, nearly in the middle of the town. Near to Gemayze Street and to all of its bars, pubs and restaurants. The rooftop bar and also the cafe/restaurant at the basement serve good food. But the hotel/hostel was poor: not very friendly staff both rooms had large spots of mold on the ceiling and walls and... What a brilliant night out. The food was good, but what made the evening were the live bands playing traditional Lebanese songs. The atmosphere was really good. I would book if I have the chance to go again. We sat inside by the window, but I would have loved to have been in the courtyard.

I loved this place for being an island in an adventurous place. I could walk to most spots in town. The Corniche is in about ten walking minutes distance. Most staff speaks English. Very helpful. I met travelers from all over the globe. Daily room service if you wanted. I have been there in December, so I chose not to... More

The hostel is cheap and somewhat cheerful. Some staff nice and would do anything for you, others...well...it's probably best to say nothing. Same breakfast day after day after day...awful! The wifi is the worst I have ever experienced (one log-on only allowed so if you have 2 devices, you are screwed). It also logs out when device goes on sleep... More

It's not about luxury and fancy hotel lobbies. Neither about super modern shower rooms or hi-tech appliances. This hotel is a mini-compound of what it used to be a part of an old Lebanese neighborhood. It's basically a half block, Lebanese standards, turned into this motel with nice decorations and vintage cafeterias. You will get to experience living in a... More

We stayed here for a long weekend and had a great time. We had a bit of a rocky start when we arrived early in the morning and the hotel could not find our booking. They told us that they did not have a double room for both nights and that they would see what they could do. When we... More

I stayed here for a month and really loved the place. The staff were fantastic, helpful, friendly and warm. It was impeccably clean thanks to the wonderful and hard-working cleaning staff who are a real credit to the place. The food is some of the best I had in Beirut and I ate out a lot and had a lot... I stayed here for a week when I arrived in Beirut and it was the perfect starting point- in a great location with lots of other travellers to meet. The rooms are large and clean, the free wifi is fast for Beirut, there are lots of common rooms and the showers are good. I found the staff in reception, cafe... More
