We spent 3 days in Beirut in Urban Saifi Gardens hostel. It was a very nice experience, the place is small, very cosy and intimate. The room is pretty clean, the restaurant / kitchen is great, it has free internet connection, pretty slow, but probably this is the case in Lebanon. The food is great, we only had breakfast there,... I am delighted to report that Saifi is not only budget-friendly but a really nice place to stop-over, to chill out, to meet/chat with people, to enjoy good simple food and a great vibe. I must admit I was a little put off by adverse tripadvisor reports - but having stayed here several times (in different rooms) during my 3... More

First of all: the location of Saifi Urban Gardens is just unbeatable! You're bang in the middle of Gemayze and are never far away from your bed if on a pub crawl. Moreover, in a city that cannot be considered cheap Saifi is one of the cheapest accommodations you get and offers good value. Breakfast is included and served till... More

My two friends and I stayed at Saifi for about 6 days during July/August 2011. I really enjoyed the stay. Not only did Saifi have a really cool atmosphere (there is also a rooftop bar and a downstairs cafe), but the staff was very friendly, the rooms clean and there was air conditioning in our rooms! Which was great to... More

-Before Arrival - emailed Nazih, and asked him to arranged airport pickup. Sure enough a driver was there at the airport and we didn't need to wait around or make expensive calls at 3am!! -On arrival and stay- Had a twin room Approx $40 per night. Very basic, but clean which is important (Room was cleaned every two days). Beds... More

This really is a great place in a great area in Beirut - great value for money - and my second visit! The cafe on the ground floor serves excellent home cooked Lebanese food and I really enjoyed the rooftop bar. I found the staff incredibly friendly and felt very safe staying here :) More

2 nights in a 4-bed dorm, bright, but that's all that was good. there was a toilet in the room without a seat so all night you can dream pleasantly to the wonderful sounds that emanate from beyond the plasterboard hoarding. i said it to them but they didn't do anything so i moved. it's hard to tell who is... As the title says, the start was bad. We arrived from the airport at around 3 AM (having made a reservation and credit card downpayment well in advance, and having sent an e-mail the day before, stressing the fact that we would be arriving late). The cafe was still open and someone was there to help us. He mentioned some... More

Stayed in in Saifi for too long i guess:) Beirut is not cheap but this place is definitely amazing deal. Thai is why they are booked all the time. You can stay for 18$ in dorms or have a private double room for 40$ prices varies depends how long you stay. And it includes breakfast. If you book a private... More
