This place is budget accommodation so don't come if you don't know what that entails. We took a suite which was very spacious and had a small balcony. The location is excellent, five minutes from Hamra Street on busy (and noisy) Bliss Street. Overall it was pretty good value but our stay would have been much more comfortable if the... More

If you're in Beirut for the night or the weekend and need a real cheap place to stay, look no further. University Hotel is meant for college students who just need a place to crash. It's more like a dormitory than a hotel. Each room has a desk/study area, visitors aren't allowed after a certain time and members of the... More

We reserved a room here for 3 nights, checked in, and realized that the place was not worth it. It may be one of the cheapest places in Beirut, but it was too unclean for us to even stay. There were bugs in our "clean" towels, as well as hair on the bedding and mold throughout the bathroom. I don't... More

If you’ve ever wanted to live in an ashtray, look no further than the University Hotel. Every member of the staff smokes pretty much nonstop, and the place reeks. You walk inside and gasp. The worst part of every day is stepping outside my room into a cloying, humid, ash-laden hallway and into the elevator literally filled with smoke. By... More
