Talal hotel is not a bad choice if you are travelling on a budget, but wouldn't call it good either. I stayed in private room, which was in quite bad shape, though not overwhelmingly dirty or anything like that. Best thing was that there was hot water 24/7. AC had some heating power, but it was still quite cold inside.... More

My favourite part about this hostel was 100% the manager. Incredibly friendly and helpful, always with a smile on his face. Obviously works very hard and went out of his way to answer questions and make my stay easier. Arranged a ride to the airport at 2.30 in the morning for me which was much appreciated. As travelling in winter... More

After having travelled half the world, this is the first time I did not feel safe somewhere! The manager had the cheek to threaten me, a guest in his coutry, who he should embrace! He charges extra 1 USD for using the wifi for like 5 minutes and when you express your concens about this, he tells you NOT TO... More

As hostels in Beirut mostly are quite expensive for backpackers, this hotel is almost the cheapest option. By the information from Lonely Planet, actually I know that if I wanted to use wifi, I would have to pay $1. And the owner of this hotel told me he could share me free wifi for 40MB, as internet service is very... More

We had a nice time in Beirut at the Talal Hotel as it was better than expected. Our room on the top floor at the back of the building had a huge rooftop balcony - I wish we had had more time to hang out there because it had a nice sea view, but there were no chairs anyway. The... More

I was welcome again at Talal Hotel where I met family members and also where I received a great warm rewatment, as usual staff will go the extra mile to help you and meet your expectations. The Hotel may not be luxurious but affordable clean and fit for most of your needs. Talal is the best in town

Decided to save money and opt for a low cost hotel/hostel. Talal was a great choice in an desirable location just a short walk to shopping, restaurants, and bars. The owner is very professional and accommodating who will be happy to draw you a city map and provide any additional advice you need. Was a great base point to tour... More

This is a great budget option with a helpful owner, friendly staff, and lots of interesting travellers - some of who may have stayed there for an extended period of time and can give you good "insider's views". The owner is great. He gives good direction and travel tips. The hostel is very basic, the building a bit old, but... More

I have been to several hotels in Beirut and I always find my best experience is Talal hostel. The owner is a great helpful guy and the place is cheap and located near downtown shopping area,... Location is perfect, closed to Downtown(Souks – shopping centre), Gemmayzeh(bars&cafes&restaurants), port and bus station Charles Helou. We lived in the best room on the top floor with a terrace , we liked views . No elevator , but the climb is not difficult. Mr Zahar (owner) drew a map and explained how to get somewhere. If you are traveling independently,... More
