Very good service with very comfortable rooms. Excellent Indian food. Very friendly and helpful English speaking staff. This is a centrally located hotel in the northern part of the city that provides airport pick up and drop off service.

I have been many times to Iran and heard about this Indian hotel, but never got chance to stay or taste the food. Luckily due to carpet exhibition I dint find room in regular stay, so booked with Taj Mahal.... First impression was best impression ... the saying was correct. I was impressed with interior and welcome, everything was perfect.... More

I have spent 10 days at this hotel, booked by my company as it is close to our offices in Tehran. It is located in a busy part of Tehran with Milad Tower being the closest attraction (some 2 km). To visit it and probably any other location you will need to take a taxi. Luckily the taxis are fairly... More

Very nice rooms as all are suites with bedroom, bathroom and sitting room with kitchenette. Everywhere was very clean and tidy and the staff were very helpful. All the equipment worked especially the AC which was efficient and quiet. Despite the hotel being close to the expressway there was no real traffic noise, but there was some building work going... Place is very clean, basic & functional. The staff is generally friendly & the entrance lobby has a nice an antique fell to it. The rooms are relatively small & offer limited or no view of the exterior (single bedroom apartment). However the food is decent & offers a break from the many fast food joints & local restaurants. The... More

Stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. No balcony but the windows opened right out with no safety screen which was fine as no children were travelling with us. Everything was clean, tidy and fresh. Breakfast was mediocre but credit for trying to provide variety! Actually traveled in 2012.

Taj Mahal perfectly resumes the problem of hotels in Tehran: always overpriced for what they offer - and this is true from 1 star to 5-star (Iranian stars...) accommodations. Pros: - One of the few hotels in Tehran to offer a decent and clean room, at the """lowest""" fare among other """luxury""" hotels - Large rooms - Friendly, accommodating, and... More

Nice location 15 mins walk from Vanak square. There's a good Indian restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel, it's quite popular among local people. The view from the majority of rooms is not nice, you can see only a busy highway, however it's ok for Tehran, the hotel is located to the north which is much cleaner than... More

A friend and I stay for two weeks at the Taj Mahal in July 2013. We shared a two bedroom appartment which was serviced daily with complimentary fresh fruit. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning (very important with 37 degree heat outside) worked efficiently. The staff were excellent. Reception helped organise our daily outings and our trip to... More
