After a week travelling through Iran and a lot of good experiences we wanted to have a relaxing time with some sports and spa. At the reception we were fist happy to get a room with a nice view.. After getting comfortable we wanted to use the swimming pool and sauna and were surprised to be not able to enter... More

The Azadi is supposed to be the best hotel in Tehran, and it may well be, but the whole place needs a shot in the arm. The decor is tired, especially in the rooms, and many of the staff are disinterested in the guests. We came with a large group, and there was a general feeling we were an inconvenience... More

It's a huge, international-style hotel, nothing fancy, not too far from the centre, on a busy road. Rooms are clean and large, the bathroom is new and comfortable. Wifi is free even if the connection is not good. Breakfast is not great and the restaurant is surely not memorable.

On 27th of December 2014, I made my booking trough the GalaHotels.com Which they had a very flexible rate and the approval for payment was reliable. However I send them a direct email to the hotel reservation department regarding the shuttle service they have from the airport to the hotel; 1- It's extremely pricey, single charge will be 75 Dollars?... The reception isn't very freindly, room was a bit dirty. Gym is fair at best. Breakfast wasn't bad. On average a 4 star experience. Gym is not open to men in the morning. The cab service of the hotel was very good - they make sure you don't get wripped off.

A very pleasurable place to stay - one of the view places at an international standard in Iran. Very relaxing after some more "challenging" places I stayed at in Iran. A great way to end a trip. Accomodation is very comfortable with nice views over the mountains. Expensive for Iran, but then accomodation of this standard gravitates towards a "world"... More

For most hotels in Iran, you need to knock off a star -- if it says five star, think four. Not so the Azadi. This is up to full European standards and has decent wifi (hurrah!). It has good views from the heights of north Tehran. Really good for accessing Sa'dabad Palace and Niavaran Palace. Downtown sites some way off,... More
