If you just arriving in Iran, this hotel is an excellent base from which to acclimatise to Iranian life and especially manic Tehran. Excellent location near to metro and many money exchange bureaus, and travel agents for onward travel close by. Quite a grandiose hotel, and definitely not a budget option at about 80 euros per night, but extremely clean,... More

My agency booked this hotel and I really enjoyed. They have good facilities, the room was highly clean and staff is very attentive. Offered an excellent breakfast with traditional and occidental food options.

I stayed here my first night in Iran, then again on my last night. They picked me up from the airport for free, which is normally about 500,000 Rial. They gave me room on the 6th floor, our room was not so large but cozy, clean and comfortable. (especially Bed) Staffs were all kind, helpful and speaks English very well.... More

Average hotel with a swimming pool and gym for men only. Stay somewhere else that at least allows some hours for women to use the facilities. New sixth floor wing where Art Deco meets Arabian nights should also be avoided...impossible for two people to move around each other and the columns, wafty drapes in middle of room, giant boat shaped... Ferdowsi hotel is in a really good location (2 minute walk to the subway), 10 minutes to Golestan palace and the Tehran bazaar, as well as Shahr Park and the very interesting, but extremely depressing Ebrat Prison museum, which are right around the corner from the hotel. The staff were extremely helpful with organising transport (picked me up from the... More

This is a correct hotel in Tehran, breakfast ok. Some rooms can be noisy , so do not hesitate to change room. Hotel in town center. L'hotel est correcte, placé en centre ville. les petits déjeuners copieux. Certaines chambres peuvent être bruyantes, ne pas hésiter à changer.

My wife and I stayed at the Ferdowsi Grand for two nights at the end of January. We checked in and our room was too small for our bags and it had twin beds. It was also so hot you could not cool the room down. We asked for another room and they placed us on the second floor. It was... More

The room on the #6 floor was VERY HOT, I even tried to set the AC and it did not work, opened two windows that would not even lock and the room would not cool down all of this in January. Noticeable dust on fixtures and wall hangings, room was dirty every time I put on the sandals to go... More

Good location and friendly staff. Don't stay on the 6th floor: the rooms have been decorated by someone with a disturbed sense of decor and the heating was unbearable (only on that floor. Otherwise, it was a good choice.
