The rooms were clean andthe decor was beautiful. The bathroom was an experience by it self with rose petal filled bathtubs - WOW! The pool and jacuzzi was clean and well kept. the service was excellent and the staff very helpful and courtious. Food in the restaurants was so YUMMY. My spa experience can only be described as unforgetable. I... more

We stayed here for a full week which is unusual as most residents seem to be from Bahrain and GCC states staying for a one or two night break. The hotel is very quiet mid week and still not too busy at the weekends. The resort is popular with local and expat families who tend to stay in their villa... more

This will be one of the more challenging reviews I have written for Trip Advisor for reasons which will soon become apparent. My partner and I arrived at the Bahrain airport after a long flight from Detroit. We were met by the Banyan Tree representative and escorted to the waiting Mercedes. He put our luggage into the trunk and we... more

Stayed at the Banyan Tree Al Areen for two nights, we stayed in a Desert Villa which includes breakfast and a massage session for 2 everyday. On check-in we were presented with cold minty towels and an ice cold lemongrass drink. Once the check-in formalities were done we were tucked to our villa, the receptionist which was very courteous described... more

This resort is simply magnificient. Being a local I stayed here for couple of nights and the Private Villas were simply superb. We just could not believe the sheer size of the villas (700 sq m) with its own pool and jacuzzi. With a separate dining room and a majlis (I think there were 7-8 rooms in the villa) and... more

I stayed at the Banyan Tree on Christmas Eve and was absolutely blown away by the sheer luxury of the place. I'm local, living in Bahrain for work, and had been to the venue before to the restaurants but had not been inside one of the villas. I can honestly say that all three of us who went were speechless... more

I'm a resident of Bahrain and have visited the Banyan Tree Al Areen on several occasions for events, for spa treatments and for dinner. This was the first time I stayed over in a private villa. Finally a hotel that has found the perfect balance between allowing guests complete privacy and unhindered access to services. Rest assured that staff are... more

I visited Banyan Tree Al Areen between Christmas and New Year with a friend from Australia. We had a terrific time. I just love the overall concept of the Resort and that there is so much emphasis on Spa. The hydrotherapy facilities are second to none and so much fun. I wanted to check out the museum in town, and... more
