The hotel and most definitaly the (executive!) rooms have an atmosphere of the sixties . . . poor, dark, brown shower curtain, television of 20 years old. Bathroom door rotten on the inside, telephones, AC system, alarmclock, water cooker - all sixties. The shower is not even warm, the 1st water cooker didn't work, the 2nd caused fire at the... More

This is a sound hotel for business, comfortable and "solid" with a large non-alcoholic bar area for meeting colleagues. While ideal for a business trip and very convenient if you are in the adjacent convention centre, it is not particularly interesting and the business services are not very good value. There are more luxurious hotels in Riyadh centre, but this... More

This hotel is very old in terms of decor and furniture. The Internet access setup is quite ridiculous. Slow speed in the lobby with WiFi. If you buy WiFi access in lobby you can't use it in your room with the wired access. The Executive lounge doesn't even have WiFi. You are only able to use a hotel computer in... More

I am not a frequent traveller to Riyadh, so I am not familiar with the hotels in this city. Coming on business, I found the hotel quiet poor in standard. The hotel room I am staying at was not properly cleaned ( a layer of dust on the furniture ), beds are very small, shower in the bathroom was rusty... More

Room service was good. The room was well-lit--the tiny window probably helps keep cooling costs low. One can walk for several miles down the central park strip (minding traffic, of course, at a few busy intersections. Beds were comfortable.

Marriott Riyadh is an old hotel that is ready for a complete refurbishment. Two of the four elevators did not work and the other two sort of ramdomly come to the groundfloor. The rooms are small and dark with only a small window which often does not provide any view to the outside. The beds are good. The rooms opposite... More

Well by Marriot standards it is not quite up to scratch. I can see that in 1980 visitors were probably impressed by the huge lobby and hanging lights etc. however, it looks a little tired now. Room service was OK though.....I can recommend the meat or seafood mix grills........tasty stuff.

Stayed here for 10 days. Standard Marriott rooms, beds are comfortable and linen good quality. Internet is expensive ($20 per day) as are Restaurants, where dishes are mostly in the $ 25 plus category. There is a gym and indoor pool, squash and tennis - men only. Staff - mostly expat - are friendly, helpful and professional. There are no... More

If you travel with a laptop and any kind of wifi device, be ready to pay a lot of money to do any work there. 80 Saudi Rials (about $20) for wired connection in your room. If you need wifi, like for your iPad, you have to get dressed and go down to the lobby (where there is a lot... More
